的Messiah，就象一场星期日的祷告会。先是颂经，然后是唱圣歌。既有个人的独白，
也有群体的歌颂。Hallelujah，真的是光辉灿烂的，似乎全体合唱者，都是仰着头，对
着上天而唱，你可以感觉到，每个人内心都是非常的纯净，虔诚，没有丝毫的“功利”

Martin），因为世上只有一个真正的弥赛亚，那就是耶稣。
该名法官称，在一个基督教佔绝对主导的社区内，给男孩取名弥赛亚会给他将来的生

家sleepover。Zarina睡肚皮屋的沙发床，Messiah就只能睡肚皮屋的地板了。肚皮说，

利未人在神面前供職，一生算來也只有二十年的時間而已。他們的事奉時間，從30歲開

我先贡献两个。
Hermione 这个名字来自古希腊神话，是斯巴达的公主，传说她妈海伦跟特洛伊的王子
Paris私奔了，他爹纠集了一帮英雄好汉渡海去围攻特洛伊，双方大战十年死伤无数，
最后放木马焚城……然后hermione她爹妈和好如初……好像跑题了。
Minerva这个名字来自罗马的知识，魔法，医药，商业和防御女神，和希腊的雅典娜是
一个神。如下图为美国国会图书馆的Minerva画像。
Minerva或者athena出现的时候会有一只“猫头鹰”，一根长矛，一个头盔，Aegis（包
括一个用蛇发女妖的头装饰的盾牌和(或)一个用蛇发女妖的头装饰的兽皮甲）和胜利女

Harry来自古代德语名字Haimric, Haim对应英语里Home，ric对应英语里的Reich和rich
，这个词是“一家之主，说话算数的人”的意思。Harry还有可能是来自维京人的名字
Harold，是“一军之主”的意思，反正也是“说话算数的人”。
当年维京人拿下了不列颠半壁江山，大致如下图。
除了给不列颠留下大量的维京人名字和地名外，这些维京人还烧毁了大量的古英语的文
字。导致我们现在说的英语用的是经济发达的伦敦地区的发音，写的英文用的是起源于
没被维京人占领的Wessex的拼写……
有个说法说Potter是一个诺曼底名字，当年来自诺曼底的征服者威廉姆征服英格兰的时
候手下有个姓Potter的人因为战功卓著而被封了一块地，从此英国有了Potter这个姓。
所以不出意外的话Harry Potter应该是诺曼底人后裔。
诺曼底人也是来自北欧的维京人。有一年维京海盗围攻巴黎，法国国王为了解围把不列

发帖数: 17 | 39 首先，合唱团确实是Toronto Mendelssohn Choir。这个团可以说是加拿大
首屈一指。声音厚实严密，是来加拿大多年来音乐会听到的最好的合唱。
也是主要的看点。
由于Messiah乐队规模很小，对于乐队也要求不高，所以几个首席都没有来。
戴金杉还是来了的。乐队还是不错。本来作为一个年年演，难度不高的东西，
要TSO这样的乐团演砸也不容易。
几个独唱都是比较新的人，男高音和男中音感觉还是不错，女高音吐字有点
不清楚。总体上还是令人满意的。另外，不知道是不是因为我在二楼的原因，
还是配器的原因，就是独唱的声音有点被乐队压。
关于Handel的Messiah，背景介绍已经很多。Mozart的配器的八卦在节目单
有所介绍。原来在Mozart时代，Handel的这部作品在欧洲大陆并不为人所知。
住在英国的一位奥地利男爵Swieten希望把此曲介绍到奥地利维也纳，但是
觉得原曲配器过于老土，不适于在维也纳上演。便把此曲的合唱翻译成
德语，让Mozart按照当时维也纳的风格配器。Swieten颇作了很多删节，
几部唱段没有了，最后的将近结束的"If God is with us"从原来 |

补充一下所罗门的故事。
所罗门死后，以色列马上和那个小Baby一样分裂成北面的以色列和南边的犹太国，宗教
中心（耶路撒冷）在南边。这就是现在有一个信犹太教的以色列国而不是犹太教的犹太
国或者信以色列教的以色列国的原因。
两百年后，北边的以色列国被亚述灭国，南边的的犹太国则成为亚述的属国。又过了一
百多年的反复战乱后，南边的犹太国被新巴比伦王国灭国。重要的犹太人都被抓到巴比
伦，其他的则四散奔逃。
在巴比伦，犹太人祭司们反思为什么会发生这样的事情。在反复反思他们的错误后，抛
弃了旧版的圣经，写下了现在我们看到的希伯来圣经。
两千年了，犹太祭司一直在反思，如这首歌唱的。

这首歌的作者为Leornad Cohen（就是唱歌这老头）。Cohen在希伯来语里面是祭司的意
思。如果这老头祖上不是改的名字的话，他祖上来自摩西的兄弟Aaron，是以色列人的
祭司。摩西他们部落的名字叫Levi，眼熟不？

Harry Potter
Harry来自古代德语名字Haimric, Haim对应英语里Home，ric对应英语里的Reich和rich
，这个词是“一家之主，说话算数的人”的意思。Harry还有可能是来自维京人的名字
Harold，是“一军之主”的意思，反正也是“说话算数的人”。
有个说法说Potter是一个诺曼底名字，当年来自诺曼底的征服者威廉姆征服英格兰的时
候手下有个姓Potter的人因为战功卓著而被封了一块地，从此英国有了Potter这个姓。
所以不出意外的话Harry Potter应该是诺曼底人后裔。

Hermione 这个名字来自古希腊神话，是斯巴达的公主，传说她妈海伦跟特洛伊的王子

发帖数: 141625 | 46 嗯，古典听得是少。音乐倒没让我觉得纠结，觉得沉重迟缓，抚慰人心。再加上风琴，
就很有宗教感了。它们可能不是严格的宗教音乐，但是很有宗教情绪和感觉……对压抑
的人生有缓解、释放、抚慰的功能。
