The most effective training mimics the event for which you're training.
The 10-Percent Rule
Increase weekly training mileage by no more than 10 percent per week.
The 2-Hour Rule
Wait for about two hours after a meal before running.
The 10-Minute Rule
Start every run with 10 minutes of walking and slow running, and do the same
to cool down.
The 2-Day Rule
If something hurts for two straight days while running, take two days off.

w****1 发帖数: 4931 | 3 while I was warming on the trail this morning, I almost sprained my ankle.
Actually I did sprain my ankle, and it hurt like crap for a second, but
luckily it wasn't serious. I was literally one inch away from getting taken
out of running for a month. To think about the prospect that months of
training could be undone because I wasn't looking for one second, well, it
just makes me appreciate the fact that I'm still up running.
the race was small but it's got quite a few serious looking runners. o...

4931 | 29 I've run 8 official races this year, 2 5K's, 1 5-miler, 1 HM, 2 FM, 2 ultras
. I think that's pretty balanced.
Pretty sure that I can't run 400m in one minute right now. |
|
y******n 发帖数: 4527 | 30 I have the same feeling. 18 weeks, come on, that is about half a year in
which I could not play soccer in order not to get injured and could not do
anything wild. 12 weeks are probably OK and, in my case, I got peaked in
Chicago after the first 20 miler in the training cycle. I think 10 weeks
will be more suitable for me.

The shin splints is something different. I have had shin splints many times.
Last year after Bay state marathon I had pretty bad shin splints. Back then
I took one week off running completely, and that allowed me to recover and
train for my 50-miler this January.
Since the first sign of shin splints I've done a lot of icing. But I have...

4931 | 38 No, tempo run isn't always a hard workout for me -- it's comfortably hard -- I'd say hard workouts are not comfortable.:) Tempo run is not racing, just pushing a little bit. It's the combination of speed and distance at the same time that is dangerous. If I only do the shorter runs fast, or longer runs slow, it's less of a problem. For example, earlier in the spring, I was doing something like 25-30mpw and would end up averaging 6:40 pace in my workouts throughout the week -- not a problem at al...

This past months article in Running Times did an excellent job of describing
our program. However, some folks thought that it was an easy way out and IT
IS NOT. We feel that the key to a good marathon is 1. Realistic Goal 2.
Judge of Pace 3. The ability to deal with cumulative fatigue. The plan below
is designed to teach all 3. If I am dealing with a marathoner that has
already run one marathon and is averaging 60 miles a week, the following

我在准备半马的时候,从8月底开始,做了一些tempo/speedwork/interval。
实很enjoy tempo/interval之类的。
wk3:tune up race+19迈。
