比如,你家小朋友不听话,你让他去面壁罚站,他一定得乖乖地去,而且说站多久就站
多久。这个过程里你并没有动用任何武力,也不用抓着胳膊把他拽过去,这就是最简单
的 mind control。
显然,一定年龄后,或是对成年子女,这套就不再管用,至少你没把握。抛开其它因素
,这实际上说明,mind control 是有条件的,就是你得在关乎某种“能力”、“能量
”的指标上大过他——姑且把这个未知的指标叫做“脑能”。
看着是不是有点熟悉?对的,其实就是“发功”。
在上面的情况里,有没有不听的?很少。因为可想而知,儿童的体力、脑力、“脑能”
都太弱了。。。如果真有的话,恭喜了,你家这个小朋友将来一定是领导能力杰出、当
领导当老板的料——然而你必须得想法让他走正路,否则搞破坏的能力可以同样突出。
当然,这也得先排除你这个当父母的的成年人“脑能”、“内心”实在太弱了。

是谁,strong minded是成就一番事业的基本素质之一。软包子随遇而安的,不会有多

练习的时候发球挺好,比赛会出现连着三个DF, 练习用mindfulness抛球, 盯球。。。
总之专注动作,专注现在,进入到旁观者清的境界,自己观察自己打球的动作,效果不
错,DF减少到一次一个。
每一个好球或者失误都这么“回头”观察一下,及时总结, 好的发扬光大,不对的改
正,不要说Sorry, 不要自责。

你怎么不说请你周围各国老外凑一起吃个狗肉火锅,看看大家是不是open mind
人不喜欢这种歌舞和文化就是不喜欢,又不是禁止印度人唱唱跳跳,这种"体验"本身可
有可无。

学蚊子给自己盖楼,我其实好像没怎么写过书评影评,原因很简单,就是因为我写不好

中文里说一个人有美丽的心灵肯定不是说这个人有多么聪明的大脑。
但‘mind'在英文里指的是人的智力(intellect), 是一个人认知世界,推理的能力,
都是和大脑相关的, 这和电影的主题人物-Nash-的故事是一致的。
如果说Nash的妻子有一颗美丽的心灵,那是没有疑问的,但显然这不是电影的主题。
如果译成美丽的大脑,中文就显得很笨拙。
‘beautiful'除了美,是不是还有一种对’Nash'的聪明表示惊叹的意思,有一种妙不
可言的意味。如果译成‘美妙的心智’呢?

我也想说点什么了。
刚来美国时,听到什么外f,以至到现在的剩女什么的,这些都是多么无聊的名词,我
都会觉得很惊讶。世界上这么多国家,文化不同是理所当然的,为什么把它看作是什么
坏事?为什么文化不同,所以没有共同话题?我觉得越是文化不同,才有更多的话题,对
方越是跟你不一样,越是有想要了解的地方。如果一件事两种看法,你可以发现原来可
以有另一种角度去看问题,那是何其快乐之事?甚至可以从中取长补短的话,何乐而不
为呢?
如果因为文化不同而却步,那来美国的意义是什么呢?(如果我们像北朝鲜吃不上饭,
所以来美国的,那我无话可说)一个生活在国外的人,为什么心胸之狭窄,视野如此闭
锁呢?为什么不能眼界开阔一点,开心的去接受这些文化上的不同,看到异族文化的长
处呢?如此取长补短,才能不断让自己进步。说到那个教育孩子的问题,汲取中外之长
处,找到一个融合的教育方式不是很好吗?为什么一定要二者选一,一定要听某一方呢?
英语里面我比较喜欢的词汇之一就是open mind.外国人有很多缺点,没必要去一一数落
,长处就在于他们的open mind,当然不是全部如此。很多外国人找女朋友,不介意年龄
,不介意出身

Mind, Culture, and Evolution conference in July at UBC
We would like to call your attention to a conference hosted by the University
of British Columbia and Hokkaido University from July 15-17, 2004 entitled
"Mind, Culture, and Evolution" in Vancouver. The goal of the conference is to
explore the mutual relevance of evolutionary and cultural perspectives on
psychology. Recently, much work in psychology exploring the foundation of

"Theory of mind" refers to a specific cognitive capacity: the ability to
understand that others have beliefs, desires and intentions that are
different from one's own.
Theory of mind(TOM)的基本概念就是,能够了解别人的想法和立场,源于别人不一定
拥有与自己同样的信息,所以不一定有和自己同样的观点想法。这个现象的重要性一般
不容易被人察觉。它听上去很浅显,却又和很多深层心理/哲学问题有千丝万缕的联系。
TOM 最主要的研究是在发育心理学的领域。最简单的测试是,在一个只有研究者和受试
小孩子房间里,研究者展示给小孩子一个花生酱的罐子,问他里面是什么。小孩子一般
会回答,花生酱。然后打开罐子,显示给他,里面不是花生酱,而是一个玩具小人。盖
上盖子,再问小孩子里面是什么,小孩子这次知道里面是小人而不是花生酱,所以回答
是小人。接下去,问小孩子,他的妈妈知不知道这里面是什么。如果小孩子有TOM的能
力,就能知道,
