2003年8月12日，到今天正好来美7周年。对我来说，5年感觉挺短，10年就觉得很长，
数字7么，不长不短的，写点东西好像正好。
7年如果看做一个可以移动的框，放在人生的初始，是从襁褓到走进小学，再往后挪挪
，是从小姑娘变成大姑娘，再后面就是从离家一天都想家的宅女到只身去北京上学。而
现在的这个框是在异国他乡度过的22岁到29岁这段人生最美丽的时光。
在美国这7年，是一场游历，一场冒险，一场人生观的洗礼。从平凡到努力追求光环，

SQL Server developers: We think 管理层的人不懂,听locking变色. locking is
necessary and we can't live without it. Anyone who try to use "nolock hint"

important. Nobody know THE truth. And many people will argue that there is
NO truth.
My point is, our mindset should not be focusing on guilty or not, or if
donor will benefit any individual, etc.
Our mindset, however, should be focusing on how to create an environment
that favorites Asian, Chinese, PhD, scientists, etc: anything that is
related you and me. |

发帖数: 2174 | 10 至于包裹, 传统上analysts的确没有engineers包裹大, 毕竟engineers是传统职位, DS
是这几年新兴的东西.
但是按照这个发展趋势, 用不了几年, DS估计会和core eng拉平, 甚至反超都有可能.
eng传统职位市场一直很大, ds现在是严重供不应求.
现在的问题是, ds很难招到有经验的, 尤其是偏向product方面的DS, 市场上的product
公司, 就那么有限的几个, 比如FB, LinkedIn什么的, 所以DS的供给很少, 但是太多中
小公司需要这些人才, 需求太大. FB的DS部门, 一直有几十个空缺, 我们也一直在
interview人, 我们几十个人, 每人每周平均面试3-6个人吧. 可是能招进来的寥寥无几
. 相比之下engineering要好招多了. 目前FB最后招到的DS大都是聪明有潜力而经验欠
缺的人, 然后公司内部慢慢培养他们. 可是这些人培养起来, 很容易被其他startup挖
走, 毕竟市场需求太大.
对于学统计的人, 最大的困难是product sense. 我们面试过太多统计背景的人, 绝大

如果不是自己希望看到的，就stop出局。 但是还是可以试水， 不然等到市场对消息的
反应明朗化，就已经上不了船了。
可能还是西博说的对，关键是你的mindset. mindset对了是第一。不对的话，什么系统

我现在的观点是：generally speaking. 历史太重要了，但是学习历史的目的是为了应
用。。对不对？
Specifically for any individual, 对待历史的态度，我想，mindset(心态）很重要
。。今天学到一句话：你成不了心态的主人，必然沦为情绪的奴隶。。历史要学习要分
析，又要有let it go 的心态。。。否则就如我爸说我的：你整天就提那些陈年旧事，

That's exactly his point. Super rich people like him who got rich on
financial investment are been taxed at way lower percentage than average
people earning wages.
Their tax rate are lower because they work very closely with government
officials, and somehow created a mindset that stock market health equals

I keep seeing a lot of articles similar to this. While reading i feel proud
but when i step outside, i couldnt stop finding such articles hard to
believe. The roads, the infrastructure, cleanliness and our mindset havnt
changed much in the last 5 years. wonder how our life has improved even
though statistically we are impressive. |

but are complex, dynamic, and constantly evolving and changing.
Perhaps the mindset of 人性本善和人性本恶
tends to simplify the complexity of human nature.
