当然没LGBT这种social sciences方面的研究什么事了，不过我们现在社会的大的科技
进步，那样不是军转民来的？不要说Internet，GPS， 自驾车 （跟Google没屁关系，
Darpa Challenge当年的自驾车成功穿越Mojave 沙漠时Google还没上市。）就连现在天
文学的突飞猛进，都是因为DOD解密了一大堆用不着的望远镜，白送给了这些
Researchers之后，他们才发现了那么多地外行星的。
还有很多基础科学，甚至包括和自然语言理解相关的许多研究都是靠DOD的funding支持
的。除了那些个别social科学，所有Research，甚至包括考古学都能从DOD， DOE之类
的申请到经费。我有一次去参加一个Humanities方面的会议，很惊讶的发现后面一个
DOD某经费办公室的人，一直老老实实的坐在后面，还认真记笔记，不时问问题，而且
都不是会议举办方特意请来的。 |

2，I40 在 Arizona 的加油站很多。由东向西进入加州后，首先要穿越Mojave沙漠，可
能要一直到barstow才能有加油站，要保证有2/3箱以上的油，其实半箱油也够用。 |

俺们一家两口准备从达拉斯去湾区，路线初步定为：
US287 到 Amarillo
I40途经Albuquerque NM，Flagstaff AZ，进入加州转CA58,再转I5至101。
由于死亡谷，vegas，大峡谷都已经去过，所以这次就不准备去了。总共行程计划2-3天，
沿途可能去Santa Rosa Lake State Park @ NM, 木化石国家公园@AZ，Mojave
national preserve。由于时间不多，所以加州玩的地方暂不考虑，主要就是I40在NM和
AZ段附近。
问题：
1。据说凤凰城附近有一个陨石坑公园，值得去否？
