北非，中东局势话题。在听了两个多礼拜关于利比亚局势的报道后，我发现CBC对于利
比亚局势的报道用词非常值得一提，故粗略总结了一下，请大家指正。
在利比亚局势刚开始紧张，即其国内刚开始有人上街的时候，对于上街的人群，一律成
为protester,对于卡扎菲，一律称为Libya Leader或者有的时候也成为Libya
President。
在卡扎菲开始镇压，并且东部一些地方被反对派控制，同时各地利比亚驻外使官纷纷脱
离卡扎菲之际，对卡扎菲的称呼成了Libya dictator，对反对派开始称呼为opposition
，对反对派的运动开始时不时用revolution这个词
在卡扎菲取得阶段性胜利，收复了部分被反对派控制区域后，对反对派的称呼成了
rebel，对卡扎菲称呼没有了任何前缀，直接称呼其姓名Muammar Qaddafi,偶尔称呼其

第二次世界大战至今，美国《时代》杂志先后四次在全球最受瞩目“反面人物”死亡后，以他们的肖像画作为杂志封面并画上“大红叉”，宣告他们的死亡。希特勒、萨达姆、“911”恐怖袭击主犯阿哈莱勒，都被画了“红叉叉”，现在轮到了本·拉登。
据报道，最先被标上“红叉”，宣告其死亡的是二战时期德国纳粹头子阿道夫·希特勒(Adolf Hitler)。《时代》杂志在第二次世界大战即将结束之前出版的1945年5月1日号封面上，印上了希特勒的肖像画。

总部位在德州的美国全球语言观察机构(GLM)透过计算机运算程序追踪全球前7万5000份平面和电子媒体、网络和社群网站，统整出字汇量。除了列出年度英语最常用词组，也统计出最常用单字和名字。
调查指出，反映出全球混乱现况的「占领」(occupy)－不管指的是伊拉克或华尔街－以及「赤字」(deficit)在常用单字榜上位居1、2名。而华人世界很爱用的「3Q」也登上英语最常用单字榜的第8名。
GLM总裁裴亚克表示：「今年上榜的字汇，很大程度都反映影响许多已开发国家的政局和经济不确定性，除了几个较突出的例外，像是英国王室婚礼和中国持续崛起。」

a BBC news team who were trying to reach the strife-torn western city of
