A U.S. citizen was shot to death in the lobby of the Marriott Hotel in
Tijuana on Thursday morning in what appeared to be a targeted attack. He was

I received a ticket in a spot in Lincoln Park that I have parked in at least
30 times with no problem. It is on the end of a block, near a crosswalk,
without a sign restricting parking.
But the ticket says it’s for "Parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk."
If this is really true, it would eliminate thousands of spots that

要我罚款或者赶紧appear。

前段时间去Miami玩，回来后收到警察给的camera ticket，说是在一个路口failure to
comply with a steady red signal，罚款$158, 不会涨点。说我是违反了Florida
statutes 316.0083, 316.074(1), 316.075(1)(c)(1).
去网上看了他们拍的照片和录像，发现我是在1号公路上右拐Palm Dr的时候被拍的。我
在最右边那条只能右拐的lane，打着右拐的闪灯，看到红灯后就开的很慢，图片上显示
是10mph，然后就拐到Palm Dr上了，没有做complete stop。我猜想警察给ticket就是
因为我没有complete stop然后右拐。

Does it make sense to buy California municipal bond?
Rational: The federal and state government is going to raise tax/fee... to
keep the state government from bankruptcy, which also keep the state
municipal bond from defaulting. Since I basically pay tax to keep the state
government afloat, at least I could get some of what I paid back by buying
the state bond.

both bond issuer and insurance company is so low that I think it can replace
CD. Most of my municipal bonds are 4-14 year maturity. You can have 10k for
each year. 10 different bonds are enough. If they are insured by AGM or
MBIA, you don't need to consider default risk, just consider interest/
inflation risk. One or two bond can be zero coupon bond to boost the yield. |

You are talking about the liquidity risk which is very important for bond.
No penalty like early redemption as CD. But buying a callable bond with
premium will have a loss if the issuer call it back earlier by par value.
General speaking, corporate bond is better than municipal bond for liquidity
because you can sell it online like stock. However, you lose the
protection by the monoliner insurance.

发帖数: 44 | 46 连着几天看见有人问把落叶弄成compost的事情，今天正好放假，来献献丑，说说我是
怎么搞的吧。
Compost其实只要直接把落叶堆起来就可以，然后什么都不用管，我们镇的municipal
compost就是这么干的。这样做缺点是刚开始还没熟的时候会被风吹散，象municipal
compost是因为地势低，吹也吹不到哪里去，我们住家就不行。所以我自己打了四根柱
子，6英尺高，拿围篱笆的plastic wire net围起来，把cmopost放在里面，就不会被吹
散了。等到半熟了以后风吹不走了，放在哪里就都一样了。落叶里的有机质会自己熟化
，在这个过程中我基本上每周翻一次，就当锻炼腰肌，为交公粮做准备了。
Compost的来源主要是落叶。我在NJ，落叶基本上就是十一月上半个月的时候。现在正
好是收集的时候。春天的时候也会落一些。另外平常剪草打边的时候有些碎草飞出来，

关于卖方提供4 season room permit的问题，我又看了一下listing和合同：
1. listing上的面积=city tax sqft + sunroom sqft。我看了很多房子listing面积都
与city tax面积一致。这种情况应该seller默认sunroom算正常面积。room确实带个单
独的电加热，因此我的agent一直告诉我把sunroom算正常面积里是合理的。
2. listing里列各房间size的地方，也专门列出了sunroom及尺寸。
基于这些我认为卖家要么提供4 season permit，让所有sqft都合法化。否则就得承认
面积欺诈。可深究起来有tricky的地方。
1. 合同里只出现property的地址，没有任何其它关于property的信息。那么依据在mls
listing上的sqft能否作为面积欺诈的证据？
2. listing上的sqft是否有明确规定要与town record一致？否则真打官司seller和
seller agent完全可以说自己只是把面积量错了。
