有很大关系。对于小狗由于事故概率很低，在这些地方也就只能这样了。但是如果有条
件选择，收入水平又可以支持的话，做一做也没什么问题，也不能说明vet黑。
今天早上送Lilly去spay，看到一个中年白妇女用一个塑料衣服箱子装着猫就拿过去了
，连买笼子都省了，也不知道得有多穷才会这样。这要是做几百块的test+手术我估计
很多人就宁可不做手术了吧，结果更糟。没法。 |

想过早影响他发育。大部分vet和网上说6个月就可以了，但我怕我家rex提前发育了啊
。我理解的hump痛苦是指他激素水平很高，但又无法得到满足，而且有说如果长时间
erect了会变得很干，他会痛啊，而且蹭啊蹭的皮会磨破发炎。不知道这些为什么不算

刚领养了一只5个月的puppy, australian cattle dog和husky的mix, 是个boy, 非常
可爱. 昨天刚刚做完neuter, 今天领回家. 到家前在小区里溜了大概1 mile. 结果刚
进门没5分钟就自己跑到门口的地毯上pee了(家里都是地毯, accident的地方是门里边
紧帖门的地方. 但是他pee前没叫也没敲门或显得不安什么的) 一发现他pee在家里地
毯上马上呵斥, 然后立刻牵到外面去了. 结果不知道是被我呵斥住了还是他真的就只
想尿那么点, 总之一共pee了也就2秒左右. 一出去就不尿了.
然后赶紧去宠物店买了nature's miracle的odor remover和诱使他urinate的spray.
回家拿了个20cm by 10cm左右的垫子, 喷上urinate的spray放在门口地毯上, 又在下
面垫了个扯开的塑料袋(防漏水). 位置大概离之前他pee的旁边有10cm. 最后上odor

，而且neuter之后也不保证会完全没有。金毛这种容易有hip问题的，我觉得还是保险
点等完全成熟之后再neuter的好
我真心觉得现在很多vet给推荐的neuter/spay时间太早，很多shelter更是不负责
你唯一会碰到的问题就是boarding和daycare有可能会拒收，但是也一定能找到不要求6
个月spay/neuter的

找小黑的过程中认识了一只很象黄咪的大脑袋ginger，超级亲人。今天去倒垃圾的时候

这只猫要么是被遗弃了，要么是outdoor猫，一定不是feral cat。
还有一个问题是：我下trap逮到的万一是别人的家猫（假设是不带collar在外面到处逛
的）送去fix了，主人会不会找我麻烦？

, 是个non-profit agency，专门给猫狗做绝育的，叫Spay-Neuter Assistance
Program (SNAP), base在Houston，似乎san antonio也有分支机构。

他们以两种形式运营，一种是在车上的那种mobile clinic，只对满足条件的低收入家
庭开放（具体条件大家可以去那个网站看）；我去的这个是有店面的，对收入没有要求

之前为了做手术的事打电话找了很多家vet问quote，包括之前一直去的那家，每家都在
电话里说要$400－$500，穷学生存点钱不容易，总想找个价格低点的，又担心条件不好
折腾猫。给SPCA打电话，人家说不提供手术服务（后来知道好像他们会给提供一个平价

的感情因素在里面的做法，以及“送回原生地”这种最人道的做法对猫狗不适用，而不
是最科学的做法。除了猫狗，还有那种动物有这种待遇？在原生地外泛滥的动物，实际
只有put down一条路。国内put down鳄龟，澳洲put down兔子，佛州put down蟒蛇，都
没有neuter在野放。实际上前几年澳洲大规模put down泛滥的野猫的时候也没有neuter
再也放这一选项。

发帖数: 14786 | 41 TNR就是Trap Neuter Return，是一种现在广为推崇的人道减少流浪猫数量的方法。基
本做法是将猫trap起来，送去节育(neuter)然后再在原来trap的地方放归(return)。被
TNR过的猫，一般耳朵都会被减去一个角方便辨认。
现在大多数地方都提供非常廉价或者免费的TNR服务。很多humane society和rescue
group也在做这个事情。我就是从我当volunteer的地方借了个trap，里面放上吃的很快
就能逮到猫，然后drop off回我借trap的地方，见vet什么的都是我们rescue group的
负责人来操心。几天后她通知我去取猫，拿回来后原地打开笼子就好了。
TNR的做法不会武断地破坏当地的猫群数量平衡。因为被节育了，猫们都变得less
aggressive，也会少得很多和生殖器官有关的疾病，更是避免了公猫到处尿尿，母猫半
夜发出婴儿般哭声的烦恼。猫群数量会逐渐减少，也能有效减少更多野猫来到这个残酷
的世界上。所以如果大家有在喂外面的流浪猫，而它们的耳朵没有缺角的话，不妨试试

理完，半天基本上就能把人熏晕。今早上收拾，竟然发现不臭。当然，你拿鼻子凑近去

后 put down 不适合的. 他们没精力去 neuter/spay 野猫.

more than one kid at a time so the population grows quickly...
I guess that is also one of the problems and why the shelters always neuter/
spay the animals first... |
