- 骗枭(冯精志), 第一次读觉得特别好看，现在看觉得编故事的痕迹重了点，更象骗术
集锦。消遣还可以。
- 杨乃武与小白菜(高阳), 这是被写过很多遍的故事，但是高阳是写得最精彩的。跟胡
雪岩那套差不多，但没那套出名。
- 一个政治家的肖像(茨威格)。我英文水平明显不够，读英文读睡着了。中文翻译得不
错，可读性很强。我觉得更出名的“人类群星闪耀时”没它好看。
- 毛姆有本"Great Novelists and Their Novels", 我是看的中文的，很有趣。
- 还有本适合催眠的：GEB, 一条永恒的黄金带。 |

都不足以占据主题。对这些人来说，如果碰巧novelist了，还
是不会psychologist吧。
我能马上想到的有三个人，卡夫卡，写《没有个性的人》的
某个奥地利人，还有三岛同学。
这几个人的主题似乎都是个人本身的心理无法占据的。
小时候（中学）读卡夫卡的中译小说，完全看不出惊人之处，
后来读到英译，赫然发现这哥们太恐怖了，我特别喜欢伊的短
篇，一个又一个恐怖故事。。。而且伊的这个genre太高端了
不像poe那种能被后世模仿。
接着更惊恐的发现这哥们的手法也很恐怖：将语言推到极致，比
如几乎从来不用比喻；总是简单的句式 - - |

people were talking about was how rich Xi Men Qing was and how sexaully
dissatisfied Pan Jin Lian was. Conclusion: there was nothing really wrong
with them. If there was anything wrong with anybody, it must have been with
the Wu brothers -- one was short and weak, leading a worthless life; the
other must have been impotent since he declined the free sex offered by Pan
Jin Lian...so on and so forth.

书作者，就像这里被评价的有点夸张。
不过一战、二战之间的奥匈帝国／奥地利確是很有趣。
顺便再隆重推荐一下，我成年以后唯一记得有印象的长篇小说，奥地利作者robert
musil 的《the man without quantities》（中译：没有个性的人）。

1. 了不起的盖茨比 5/5
刚刚看完，很兴奋，太好看了，好多话想说，不知道从哪儿开始，幸亏明天周末，现在
12：30了，想到哪儿说到哪儿吧。
faint，想说的第一条还是，太好看了，呵呵。有一阵子没给5/5，这本绝对是。
先说语言吧，太好看，流畅，工丽，1925年写的，现在读起来没有任何艰涩之处，咱不
谈情节人物，不谈深层含义，就是单论语言，也是一种享受，秒杀一众“水济济”的口
水书，篇幅也不长，一百多页，用词考究精简却一点也不艰深，相比之下之前的那本
1980年出版的等待野蛮人就很难读，后者过会再说。
这个绝对是现代英文的典范，真的是减一分则瘦，多一分则肥。我乍读之下，有种想逐
词精读的冲动，好多段落非常适合朗读，背诵，以后绝对会再拜访。
夸完了语言，举两本之前读过的，年代较接近的一对比，好些东西就出来了。先看：

因为来回坐飞机实在无聊，就买了本刘震云先生的《一句顶一万句》，据说是某年的茅
盾文学奖。又据说获奖当年全国只卖了几十本。小说写的挺好看，文字颇有特色。尤其
是头半部《出延津记》。几代人几代事错错落落密密麻麻，又都十分拧巴，最后终把男
一号推出了延津。这大概就是作者眼中所谓的命势。好几个人物写的都很出彩，尤其是
意大利传教士老詹。但我怀疑老詹的故事，大多可能是真事。倘若不是真事，那也没什
么不好，无非就是我更佩服刘震云了。然而后半部《回延津记》就没了前半部的那种气
蕴。到了结尾，我甚至找不到了焦距。也可能是我耐心不够吧。但总之前半部绝对值得
一看。令人绝倒的倒是封面封后的几位名家书评推荐：小说文字返璞归真浑然天成，广
大读者有福啦，恭喜刘震云升级成功，blablabla。我真不知道这些在网络上挪下屁股
都要引出上万份关注回帖的先生大人们到底有没有稍微用点心读读他们推荐的这本小说
。刘先生的确在狂用浅词短句，刘先生的确在尽量躲避文辞繁藻。但这恰恰说明了整部

对一个访谈印象很深，大致意思说apple的设计是we are proud of what we don't

Harper Lee, the reclusive author of To Kill A Mockingbird, has died at the
age of 89.
The news was confirmed by the mayor's office in her hometown of Monroeville,
Alabama.
The novelist was born Nelle Harper Lee on 28 April 1926.
In 1960, she published To Kill A Mockingbird, which was a huge critical and
commercial success and won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. The sequel Go Set
a Watchman, was only published in 2015.

first volume of the series, A Game of Thrones, in 1991. He published it in
1996. Martin gradually extended his originally intended trilogy to seven
