按照现在的gas vs oil价格，加生一年的oil bill是2500，能省700-800。以后油要是
涨价能省1000。估计大概就是5-6年回本。
如果oil boiler正好老了，或者油罐老了，那就换吧。否则先熬着：） |

我已经找了几个CONTRACTOR来估价(装这个96%EFFICIENCY BUDERUS SYSTEM)，要价
11000～13000左右。减去2000的REBATE,估计还有9000～11000. 但是我还是打算装了。
（1）节约能源； （2）一年可以很轻松的省掉30%的HEATING COST。如果一年烧3000块
的油，就可以省至少1000块 （我知道有人2000SQFT的烧GAS只要1100块的，而我家同样
面积，烧油却要烧2500～3000刀,而且温度比人家还开得低些)，所以对我个人而言，每
年应该可以省1500左右),7年左右可以BREAK-EVEN，但是以后卖房子时应该增点值。 (3
)可以申请UP TO $15000 ZERO INTEREST的HEAT LOAN, 7年还清。平均每月付180快的分
期付款，应该很轻松。

连在炉子上的tankless 的 system. 买房的时候就想着改成烧gas的(NStar 的 gas
line 已经在门口街上了，只要接进房子里），但是买的时间太晚了，只能撑过今年冬
天了。前两天叫现在用的oil company的plumber来家里看看给个改成gas的估价。最后
好像他并不是特别推荐换，他给了如下一些观点，不知道大家怎么看：
1。 由于现在用的是steam的system, 炉子的效率最高也就到90％或者是high 80%，换
句话说，没必要要那些高效的炉子。 现在的WM的炉子虽然24年了，但是牌子很好，炉
子本身也还不错，如果每年保养的好，可以保持在82，83％。oil tank 也是很新的。
他觉得炉子还能用一段时间。如果要改成hot water 或是forced air成本就大了，改管
子什么的就要两万。
2。 现在的tankless的热水用起来并不是特别给力。不知道为什么，B-town的水压很高

底断暖了。问一下有经验的朋友，这个heating oil彻底用完了，再加油之后，boiler
会自动重新开始工作，需要重启啥东西吗？只记得当初租房子时，房东嘱咐要及时加油

Talk to Alliance again and the rep said this price guaranteed till end of 3/
27 no matter of market movement. After that if crude oil price doesn't go up
meaningfully then the deal is still ON till further notice. But the group
will be closed down if price goes up meaningfully. So he won't hold the

最近想把房子做一个oil to gas heating conversion。房子是steam heating by oil
。现在使用中的oil boiler是2011年的Burnham MegaSteam。家里已有National Grid的
gas line。
网上看据说有一个budget-friendly的gas conversion burner方案，就是只把burner换
成gas burner的而保留现有的boiler。我自己目前倾向于这种方案，因为比较现有的
boiler还比较新，而且也算efficient (86%)。
不知道大家有谁做过类似的conversion没？有没有好的plumber可以推荐?

1.小小人免进，没空听你的偷换概念扯东扯西。
2.$3w以下的车子，full syn和传统机油没啥区别，随便你自己喜好。
3.6~8w mile以上的车子，不推荐full syn，要用也得用特殊的high mileage syn oil。
正文：
化工的咚咚我老不懂，求鉴定，但是generally speaking, full synthetic oil用更加
小的分子，有更加好的流动性和低温performance。总结一下好处就是：
1.对发动机的保护--我老持保留态度，不是说不相信这个理论，而是差别很少--这年头
很少有人把发动机开爆的。
2.半年或者7500mile换一次机油。比传统机油的3个月或者3000mile要长很多。
3.寒冷天气下，发动机很快达到工作温度。我老approve this message。
4.提高mpg，2mpg in my case。
最好的deal应该是Costco的$26/6qt, Mobile1 full synthetic oil box. Filter 可以
