VINELAND -- An Egg Harbor Township woman involved in a three-vehicle
crash last week on Mays Landing Road has died as result of her
injuries, police said.
Tina M. Shriver, 40, died Thursday morning at Cooper University

今天路过这样一个路口。我自西向东走，准备向北面左转。一共有三条lane，分别是左
转，左转+直行，右转，我是最左面lane上的第一辆车。信号灯是绿色非箭头，于是我
稍微向前开出白线，然后停下等对面的直行车辆。对面有几辆直行车，还有一辆右转车
，他们都在路口前面，速度很慢。由于距离比较近，我就决定等他们过去后再转，结果
这时后面的车开始horn，我一紧张就硬着头皮转过去了。转的时候发现直行车没有过来
，而且那辆右转车明显在yield我。
回来仔细想了想，猜测对面的车可能这时候是红灯，但是为什么我们的信号灯不是左转
箭头灯呢。google map了一下看到有个 3-way signal的标志，应该是和这个有关吧。
google了一下还是没搞太明白。请教一下大家给解释一下3-way signal的具体含义，还
有为什么我们是类似受保护的左转，不给左转箭头灯呢，是不是除了对面车辆，还有其
他的车辆或者行人不是红灯，需要我在左转时候yield？

passing zone了。我们拿着GOOGLE MAP的地图，在虚线变实线的地方有个NO PASSING的
黄色牌，老先生一直坚持他看到提示牌的时候已经返回右LANE，那天是晚上，他离标示
牌比警察近，所以他比警察看得清楚。警察说晚上有反光，他能看清。一直重复了三四
次，老先生都这个说法，虽然老先生立场很强硬，但我们也比较礼貌，所以场上气氛还
可以。
最后法官开始打圆场。法官问我们驾驶纪录如何，我说还不错。警察说没查。然后法官
让我把法律给老先生解释清楚，让他以后超车的时候小心，说当时他可能是很短暂的错
误，也就是法官还是支持警察的观测的。但他把IMPROPER PASSING改了failed to
