regular balls.
I played a round in a night golf outing in September. They lined up the
fairways and greens with glow sticks. Everyone got a sleeve of lighted balls
. We had a shot-gun start, so balls were flying everywhere like meteors.
Pretty amazing scene. |

good golf courses there too. you are not alone for having family commitment
, many of us do, that's why it's one of my hopes to play at least once a
week next year.
looks like the nj/ny/ct tri-state team will be a strong one if we every have
a golf outing. maybe tri-state vs. the west? |

发帖数: 904 | 4 i once saw a double eagle in a golf outing. it was a guy in the 4-some just
ahead of us. it was on a 480 yards par-5, he hit and driver and 9 iron, end
up with a double eagle - that's the only one i have seen in real life.
i've seen more hole-in-ones. sometimes the local rule is that you have to
buy drinks for everyone when u have a hole-in-one, it can be a little
expensive...

elevation change from teebox to green, and sloping left/right fairway, it's
hard to see where balls landed and where it rolled to after tee shot. lost
ball frequently, contributing to a lot of penalty strokes. our pace was
quick for 100 plus strokes, so not much time looking for balls.
once realize that it's high-slope course, okay with the score. still think
it was a fun outing, actually pumped up a bit playing foursome 18 ho |

for 9-hole, normally, i just wait for my sons to take a nap after lunch and
sleek out for a run. so it depends on when my sons go to sleep. the good
thing about fremont 9-hole is that you can always get on course no matter
when you go. and if you buy 10-pack, it is always the 10 bucks per 9-hole.
i actually prefer to go 18 holes outing as dietcigs or ixcafe called, that
way, i can allocate the whole afternoon for golf.

僮吗？
今天下午刚打了一个不错的场子，pound ridge，真的很不错，跟bethpage基本是同一
级别的。15洞差一点打了一个hole-in-one，140码par 3，果岭前是荷塘，后是岩石。
我的pw击出的球落在旗后边两米处，回滚到洞边一寸的地方停住。 |

mid-April or later. Let's plan on some outings together at the Yale course
in April.

We had a great fun!

I had my experience with different swing weight too. I lost my 8 iron at
some outing. at first, i was thinking to skip 8 iron, since 7 and 9 can
cover the distance anyway. turn out that was a big mistake. After finding a
used (almost new) 8 iron (same MP52) from golfsmith. I realized that club
got different shaft, and other setups. the pro shop told me, that swing
weight is very different and my feeling is different too. Turn out i like

too relax, i almost didnt realize i was doing bad. it is a very typical my
round recently. normally, i would see my playmates are struggling from tee
to green. and on the green, it is my pay-back time for them. in the end, we
are all even, and everyone was happy.
I checked the result again, for those 6 3-putts, half of them are GIR, and
half of them are those I was expecting save from up and down.

for our outing, even with handi adjusting, low handicapper tend to be the
winners.

发帖数: 3067 | 41 i kinda like his 3woods choice. knowing Bubba's shot was in woods, and Bubba
might need one shot to pitch out. Oost.. would be ok to play save, use 3
woods to put ball on the fairway, and safely 2 on for par. He was just
unlucky.
Oost.. played save for the whole day, it was a tough to tee off after the
biggest hitter on tour hole by hole :)
think of our weekend outing. If you have a long hitter buddy, and he almost
out-drive you every hole, what do you feel.

方送的，被我遗忘压箱底了。proV1那几个字跟现在的新球比间距更紧凑，估计有两三
年以上了。带到场上打，明显觉得距离不如新球。你们有类此的经验吗？像proV1这样
的新球保质期有多长？ |

we can not shot 270 with iron, but we can easily shot 220 with hybrid. Given
we play from blue tee, usually, pro 270 is about 210 or 220 for us, since
their drives are over 300.
just talking on paper. 180-220 the most comfortable distance for me with
hybrids.
for a 400 par4 we usually play, the pros would play like 450 or 460. so, pro
270 + 190 is about the same as our 220 + 180, i.e., hybrid + hybrid/iron
for almost all par4s.

Compare to your playing in the snow. I guess I will play through rain or

明尼苏达周六还是66度，打了9个洞，挺有感觉，没过瘾，可惜转天就降温下雪，周一
才27度，伴着凛冽寒风，昨晚下了零星的小雪。我在家休息，本以为所有球场都关了，

发帖数: 517 | 47 It's our company Christmas outing today. We played Talega from blue tee (
6500 yards, Slope 129). The course was really really wet and cart path only.
Got in a foursome with a single-handi guy; left-handed. He drives more than
300 yards, and his 2i gets 260 yards - no club in between. It was quite an
awesome experience watching his tee shots, even though he likes to use 2i
more than his driver.
My driver can match his 2i. The guy was -2 after 6 holes and got 75; I ended
up with a 95.....

thought only pros like Tiger can hit 300 driver. Apparently a lot can hit
that far.
I asked buddy can hit 300 drive, why would u tee with other club. Same as
the player you played tee off with 2i. His answer was "why not", 260 with
better control from tee.
It was fun to watch ppl can hit that far.

以前去的几次也是人家包场，outing那种，没感觉慢，要慢也不是因为要等前边的组，
自己本身就慢，很多洞regulation根本球打不上果岭。
我最怕的是总要等前边的组，一等就没情绪了。上周末在NJ的两场球，就是实在等得没
兴致了，没打完就提前拎包走人了。 |
