今天来了个哥们帮我检查车子。这人背景巨牛。大家知道美国的mechanic一般很草根。
基本就是从小在车库倒腾车子，最后一个高中学历，或者去读个技术学校之类的。今天
来这哥们从小倒腾背景就不说了。ME的本科硕士学位，并且还有在F1雷诺车队做R&D的
经历，现在为了陪老婆，在这边一个fabrication shop委屈暂时待着。今天开了辆RAM
过来，说车库还停了一辆87年的FC RX7， 700多马力。
给大家汇报一下。冷车发动，喷巨多白烟，但是没有机油味，也没有防冻液味道。具体
什么味道我不知道，那哥们也说从来没闻过。油压水温都正常。车热以后没有机油或者
防冻液液面减少的现象。我之前因为被卖车的小dealer提醒说我开回去路上机油可能会
烧光，我就overfill了好多机油。今天用pump抽出来了，抽出来以后车也热了，排气管
基本正常没有过多白烟，但是不知道是因为车热了还是抽出了过多机油的缘故。晚上加

1. EVAP system failure = "check engine light" on (if you overfill you fuel tank often, eventually you will get this failure).
2. MAF sensor;
if you search "oil loss" & "2001 Corolla", you will find another
problem: 3."excessive oil loss".
They do not happen on all cars, but have high occurance.#3 is the most
serious, and some people lost severaal quarts in 2000 miles!!! |

发帖数: 519 | 10 Ok guys, here is the update for the problem. It's a 15amp fuse. Replaced it
for $0.5 and solved the problem. The P0460 code is still there, I erased it
and let's see what's gonna happen with it. I do recall that morning when I
refilled the gas, it filled about 1 gallon more before it stopped, which I
think may cause the sensor confused or fault and broke the fuse. So be
careful about overfilling your tank. Thanks,

解决很简单，找AAA拖到车铺花钱查一下有没有问题，有找你朋友算账，没有就此了之
。想不花钱又想解决
问题是不可能的。
另外别忘了查一下机油overfill，多的及时放掉在开。你的engine cover gasket已经
泡了机油以
后就会慢慢从这儿漏了。 |

heavy jack. But there is one thing you should be careful. As you certainly
don't want to drive your car off the ramp when there is no oil in the engine
, you should keep in mind that the car on the ramp is not on an even surface
, so using the dipstick to measure the oil level now is NOT quite accurate.
In general overfilling a little bit oil is not a big problem, but you still
should avoid it if you can. |

，其他地儿可想而知。换件能力堪比国内ssss，。我也被firestone黑过，200多刀吧，
当时是傻了， 回来想想也就当交学费了。
说句实在话, firestone也有firestone的好处
第一 本人超级喜欢的标准化作业流程，修车么 可以最大程度的减少出错，但也不是那
些技工一点错误都不犯 这个后面继续讨论
其二 firestone的店面看起来挺舒服的，干净，服务态度也好。（为啥好 后面继续说）
第三 我个人觉得能在firestone用的服务，买旧车时候检查必去（这个某位大神级的主
意 必须表示感谢），换油（有人超级喜欢去老墨店 10块钱 换油，我持反对意见 毕竟
一分钱一分货）。换各种简单的driving belt，刹车皮和换胎 （这些用不了多少工时
，而且配件价格还透明，最关键这些易损件 他firestone能联保，出毛病就找他）。

quartz不太够，你自己回去后稍微再加点。
我开回家后，自己又加了半个quartz,加完后开了1迈，发现我的车HOOD底下冒白烟，烧
焦的味道。不敢开了。我觉得是我下面的哪一步做错了。请大伙帮忙分析下：
1.我加机油的时候，开始嘴没对好，撒了一些到引擎上，然后这些机油顺着流了下去，
浸湿了其他部件。如果是这个原因的话，应该不是问题吧？等这些油烧完后，白烟是不
是就会没有了？
2.我机油是不是加多了？这个引擎按道理是加4-5个quartz之间的。可能是因为换了新
filter的关系，需要的多一些？我刚补充完油后，检查过液面。冒白烟的时候检查，貌
似OVERFILL了。等会我再去检查一下液面。如果机油加多了话，是不是有个抽机油东西
可以买来用？
3.12年的老车，以前一直喂地沟油。今天第一次喂MOBILE 1的合成油，不过感觉和这个
关系不大。从车铺开回来的这段就没事。 |

随便找个shop它们都有evacuation machine，或者自己去往上找个evacuator，我有个
落地式的3年前amazon上买的大概60块钱，有个细管子直接插进油尺的管子里，插到底
吸就行了。也可以用放油的方式，不过不好把握量。 |

册，1万5千麦换油应该是指拖车的情况。想自己换不难，找到放油和加油的plug就行了
，记得别搞错标号，同时换washer，按手册给明的容量就行了，别overfill.
另，很可能光放油放不干净，需要个pump。 |

或者seals 坏了, 需要拆掉transmission, replace seals.
你可以找个人工便宜点的shop for quotes. 别信dealers.
太相信他们就SB了. 就算trade in也别trade in 这家dealer. |

longer. So cost does add up.
If you got a new mower, remember to change oil after first 5 hours of use.
Very important:
Check oil level regularly.
Fill to mark on dipstick. DO NOT OVERFILL.
Air-cooled engines burn about an ounce of oil per cylinder, per hour. |

microsurgery。我很怕做这个手术。而且不知道这种手术会有什么样的风险。 现在我

the driver he said the oil group is automatic delivery which means they'll
make sure you always have oil and the delivery time is up to them. To avoid
overfill related problem they won't fill to the up limit.
I don't have a problem if they can keep my tank over 1/4 full at all time.

especially oil change at Walmart. You could either ask Walmart to remove
