几年下来，目睹了(有些是亲眼目睹)国防部许多大型项目测试失败、被延迟、超预算，投入的钱就象一个无底洞，最后有些连一声响都没有。钱浪费得太厉害了，简直难以想象。举几个例子：
Future Combat Systems： 美国army的现代化项目，2003-2009年，7年投入超过1000亿美元，产品屡次测试失败，2008年取消。
Presidential Helicopter: 前期研发预算67亿美元，最后却增加到112亿美元。2009年取消。
F-35 JSF: 美国空军的现代化项目。初始预算2500亿美元，目前已花费3900亿美元。无数次延期。战机单价本来5000万美元，最后估计单价要超过一亿美元。
导弹防御系统： 投入超过600亿美元，屡次失败，成果有限。

看Bowen自己的回忆1947年Marine的分队在一个秦皇岛的营地被共军包围了，共军要求
他们投降，Marine坚持了一晚上后成功撤离。有少数Marine之前出去喝啤酒被共军俘虏。
Bowen他们夜里挖了很多散兵坑，其中一个挖到了一箱子骨头，但夜里很吓人他们就把
箱子又埋上了。
1941年太平洋战争开始前北京协和医院把北京人头盖骨的箱子给撤离的Marine带走，运
往秦皇岛计划上米国军舰，但期间战争爆发，军舰搁浅，Marine成了日军俘虏，头盖骨

Trump said he WANTED zero tariffs, so more US inconsistency. Trump
originally said that tariffs were the reason that Europeans don't buy US
cars? Surely the reason could not be that he knows if he drops the US
tariffs on light trucks that the US car manufacturers would be overrun by
imports, particularly of (manufactured in Europe) Japanese light trucks such
as the indestructible Toyota Hilux? Can't have it both ways. |
