四十四名年僅七至十一歲的英華小學高級弦樂團學生，本月十三日參加在斯洛伐克首都
布拉迪斯拉發（Bratislava）舉行的「第五屆國際青年音樂節」，榮膺雙冠軍。該項比
賽為當地每年七月舉行的國際音樂盛事，由十一至十三日共比賽三天，共有十七個國家

1）Sight reading
在IPAD上我们用过NoteWorks，是老师建议的。另外的试用过的有Sight Reading HD。
其实我觉得最好的是PC上的一个免费软件Jalmus：www.jalmus.net/。还有一个
叫做Synthesia:www.synthesiagame.com/，但是需要掏钱买educational package才得
到所有功能。
这些软件最好还是配合电钢和MIDI cable才能发挥最大作用。这些软件的主要作用是练
习快速的sight reading包括note value, intervals和rhythm，对家长音乐知识有限的
作用更大一些。:-)你甚至可以把要练习的曲子load进去，至少解决了一个因为不懂曲

Banner ads主要的marketing objective是branding，一般都是以CPM (cost per
thousand impressions)来收钱。这个最狠的要算Yahoo。几年前我们有个客户买Yahoo
Mail的广告，一天就要60万，holiday season还得提前一个quarter订下来。大多数
publisher都是自己跟广告主negotiate banner ads的价钱。也有一些象advertising.
com这样的integrator，把很多网站不要的excess inventory集中起来再卖给广告主。
AdSense在online marketing里面称之为contextual ads，广告是否出现根广告内容与
网站内容是否相关，以及广告主的bidding price有关。这种广告和Google AdWords一
样，都是pay-per-click.广告主付钱给Google,Google再返回给publisher30%左右。

微软就更加不是开拓者了， 不管是DOS，Windows 还是Word，Excel 都是从别人那里学
过来的。
创业不在于idea新旧， 在于是否有市场需求，在于自己的产品能否很好满足需求。

【侨报纽约网报道】阵亡将士纪念日，又称国殇日（Memorial Day）。在美国南北
战争中，无数将士在战火中阵亡。战争结束，南部许多家庭开始祭奠战争中阵亡的将士
。他们不分南北双方，在春天向双方死者的墓地都奉献鲜花，北方人为此深受感动，将
这一举动视为民族团结的象征。1868年，5月30日这一天被正式批准为向为保卫祖国而
英勇牺牲的士兵们敬献鲜花的日子。
第一次世界大战后，人们开始在阵亡将士纪念日这一天祭奠所有的战争死难者，后
来在民间又逐渐发展为一般家庭祭奠逝去的亲人。1971年，为了让更多的人能够方便的
纪念这一天，联邦政府将其定为国家节日，并将日期定为5月的最后一个星期一。
2015年阵亡将士纪念日为5月25日星期一。在这一联邦节假日里，所有学校、银行

发帖数: 2381 | 40 Down Town 的地标性建筑之一无疑是1984年开放的Horton Plaza，这座拜占庭式风格
的露天与室内结合的建筑群现在成为down town最大的商场之一。远看五彩斑斓的颜
色和奇形怪状的屋顶似乎有点像新疆和中亚风格的大巴扎，各家商店鳞次栉比，直上
到最高层露天的餐厅群体。休憩区有小小的庭院，还有巨大的国际象棋和双陆棋供游
人玩耍。我们边看边讨论国内是否有这样经过设计师之手的商场建筑，结论是没有。
西单大悦城可能有几分相似，可是国内的商场很少会请建筑师把整个空间打造成休闲
购物和娱乐一体、又具有自己风格的建筑精品吧。
中午在顶层吃饭的时候我端起相机想拍这座建筑，被保安有礼貌地阻止了，解释说这
是私人财产，不能随意拍摄。
下午两点去San Diego Symphony Hall听郎朗的音乐会，我最喜欢的钢协之一--柴可
夫斯基第一钢协。其实周五晚上的拉赫玛尼诺夫钢二我更喜欢，可是考虑到今天才是
特殊日子，才买了今天的票。所有门票--从最贵到最便宜的都被销售一空，美国人对
郎朗还是相当欣赏。在我看来郎朗具备同时成为一个优秀钢琴家和成功钢琴弹奏家的

毕竟弯曲好，大家都好
不过刚刚拿出一些数据，立马被fb的fans以静态眼光看问题扁死。goog上市时,
overture已经发明了search ads的盈利模式。所以市场对goog是非常confident的。fb
的传销模式，现在还要看。不过我总觉得，广告更多的是需求targeted，也就是query
targeted，至于用户targeted，除了用户的地址，性别，年龄，别的信息用处不大。而
这些信息，goog,yhoo,msft都有啊。所以fb的神话，只能靠所谓的friends referal来
实现，这个俺们要拭目以待，看看他们做不做得好。
至于游戏，可以赚点钱，没什么很exciting的前途。 |

people much more likely to click a search ad than a banner ads.
search engines have existed for a while, however people do not really know
to earn money from it until overture (bought by yahoo) tried the ranking for
the text search ads.
IMO, facebook still has a long way to find an effective moneytization model.
