A：除了上面几个大的商业台，还有一个就是很受欢迎的PBS公共电视台(WWW.PBS.ORG)，P
BS主要是一些
关于历史地理文化自然科学得节目，也会经常有一些音乐会歌剧什么的，还有PBS中还可
以看到英国腔调的比如BBC制作的MYSTERY，CLASSICAL
THEATRE等等，PBS是完全靠DONATIN维持的，早年的PBS中是没有任何广告的，不过现在PB
S迫于经济压力，节目中尽管没有商业广告，但是所有的栏目也XXX公司特约播出了，等到
一年一度的PBS募捐的时候喜欢PBS的可以考虑DONATE一点，这个是TAX DEDUCTIBLE的。 |

PBS就说PBS，大家都懂。不要认为就是生理条件。很明显不是。比如PBS里面没有Ca2+
。在任何做电生理的环境中，都不会说PBS是physiological condition的。
我猜你遇到的情况是PBS是对照，另一组是PBS加某药。那很简单，你就老老实实说PBS
是对照组就行了。 |

发帖数: 197 | 19 家里的电视信号较弱，只能收到ABC和湾区那个中文电视台。我们平时也不怎么看电视
，所以也好。但是突然要看几个PBS的节目。这节目不在PBS网站上。请问怎么样才能看
到？如果不装cable/direct tv. 买Roku好像也不能解决问题，因为Roku只能看Pbs存在
网上的节目，大部分其他节目都没有

周末看了PBS的科教片 进化论evolution DVD系列中 http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/ )的几部，觉得有些收获，写一点点出来分享。
0。 Army race. 药物和抗药病菌之间的战争。俄罗斯监狱中犯人中流传的抗药性肺结核
正在向全球蔓延，死亡率很高。从进化论的观点药物是无法根除病菌的，最佳的结果是想
法降低毒性，人和病菌长期共存，或者通过第三种物种帮助人控制细菌。一个例子是有种
蚂蚁不能直接吃一种树叶，它们就自己在窝中养发酵菌来分解树叶成糖一类的东西，奇怪
的是它们糖从不发霉（被有害细菌污染），蚂蚁不能生产药品，它们如何控制有害细菌的
呢？科学家最后发现蚂蚁分泌了一种特殊的细菌来对抗有害细菌。有害细菌虽然一直在进
化，但是吃它们的细菌也在进化，两者在一起斗争几百万年了，蚂蚁坐收渔利。蚂蚁比人
早若干年就懂生物防治了，有点讽刺意味。

工，在惡劣環境下，長時間辛勞工作，只賺了很少的錢，卻製造高價產品，輸往歐美各

紀錄片描述三位女孩，包括主角小莉，和同工小蘭等人的故事。小莉從家鄉陝西，
獨個兒往廣東闖天下，到了東莞沙溪鎮一家由澳門人開設的牛仔褲工廠當剪線頭女工。
小莉每天工作十多個小時，收入微薄，每天只得數美元，首月工資還被扣起作「按金」
。工人居住在十二人一家房的狹小碌架床位，十二人共用一個廁所。工人每朝八時前必
須打卡報到，否則會被扣工資。紀錄片也訪問林姓工廠老闆，喜愛練大字，又乘坐澳門
車牌平治房車，舒適得很。不過，老闆仍然很「精打細算」，不停叫工人 |

学历，经济，还是形象都是很楚翘的，TOP1%的，不要让美国人还觉的在美的华人还是
偷渡来的样子。好欺负嘲笑的。
记得若干年前PBS做了个中国崛起的纪录片，还是很震撼的。
另，PBS还是很公正，OPEN的电台。
要提高改善华人地位，形象还是路途遥远的事。 |

一个完整的 episode。。。另外 PBS Kids 还有给大一点的娃的节目。。。
翻成中文的话, PBS Kids 里面那些复杂一点的节目, 估计俺的娃听不懂, 毕竟是这里
长大的。。。 |
