files, they are .deb format.
But then how? Where should I put them? Just new->folders as xcolor,pgf, latex-
beamer in latextmf folder and then move them in separately? Is this right?
And then how to refresh MiKTex? I use option\refresh, but then for pdflatex
compling , it shows, can't find ***.tex (my test silde file name)? What's
wrong?

发帖数: 1109 | 4 I just upgraded MikTex to 2.5, and am using it with WinEdt. The main reason
for my upgrading is to use beamer to compose slides.
I tested a small tex file, the dvi looks fine. However, some details are
lost if I run dvi2pdf directly. The only way to avoid the lost is to use
dvi2ps first, then run ps2pdf.
Is there any configuration or setting to do for WinEdt after updating MikTex?
Also, I read from the internet that the style files for PGF should be flat
under tex/latex/pgf, for example, like te |

Altix with ifort.
i put the func in a module.
as expected, the compilers don't complain; however they don't do what you '
intend' to do.
the executables from ifort and xlf gives one result, the executables from
pgf gives another!

Both have huge exposure to financial sector.
I am gripped by fear right now. I am afraid if bank get nationalized
preferred will get wiped out as well. Could that be the case? They are

每天都有新的. 所以你只要放上我的跟踪止损指标自己看各个市场就行了. 比如下图是
sp500 mini futures (用FXCM.co.uk网站上的免费MT4软件看) 2011年9月到2012年1月5
日的4小时K线图, 和2%的跟踪止损(附图).可见跟踪止损是多么有效.
中国的上证指数就更不用说了,一直维持在2%的跟踪止损下面,根本没行情,不用去看.
2011年市场之所以波动剧烈,不谈欧债危机这些news层面上的东西, 从技术分析层面上
说, 则是以sp500指数(用spy,rsp都可以)为代表的市场,经历了2009-2010年,又回到了
2008年暴跌前的1400多点. 所以是个经典的double top, 当年在2008年顶上被套住的人
,这么快就迎来了解套, 能不逃么.
2012年美股关注的热点:
1)指数基金: spy(标准普尔500,市场的总体方向), qqq(纳斯达克的科技股依然是增长

可以在分红的前一天卖出,分红后立即买回来,就可以逃过tax,把income gain转化成对
non-US美国以外投资者免税的capital gain了). NLY, AGNC(房地产信托,每季付息,20%
yield), 另外就是PIMCO基金公司的PHK, PTY债券基金,不过2011年受债券市场的影响,
价格波动比较大, 但是分红稳定. |

I tried to install latex beamer/pgf/xcolor classes to write some slides ... a
total nightmare. Any success stories here? Maybe you mean the packages that
SWP supports?
Nothing is easier to remember than your own shortcuts. And how about things
that do not have shortcuts in SWP?
I never tried this and do not understand how this should work. SWP uses *.wmf
file format (if you copy and paste figure to SWP) which is not at all
supported by *nix latex compilers. Windows/miktex? maybe.
