神难倒，结果都让GPS难倒了，起码就像大家有麻烦都抱怨车坏了没法赴约电脑坏了没
法工作一样抱怨GPS指错路了。有木有？
共11人从Vienna分3个车出发。且说我这一车3人跟着GPS穿过Front Royal继续要绕远，
YJJ决定不服从GPS直接上Sky Line Dr 北端。自知Sky Line曲折10:30am赶不到Byrd
Visitor Center,于是一路超车，估计后面的MM已经花容失色，被警察盯上还不知；停
过几个Outlook看风景，追上的警察竟说要开到70迈才追得上，开个罚单自然不客气。
到了Visitor Center 已是11:30am. Edward和gracecn4人已经在去Lewis Falls小路上
。我们一路快走在景点赶上，听说（没有路）走到下面看瀑布会很好看，所以只在上面
看了瀑布。Jerry和我12pm前跑到picnic ground，准备帮助挖猪烧火。
只见megguan站在那里可怜的说日夜想念的挖猪还没到问要不要生火。我说不生火，大

很多天以前 毛车说今天要picnic还是在san jose, 我想那么远 跟我什么关系 不理
昨天晚上灌水 毛车问明天picnic来不来, 我狂ft, 刚受了刺激说是要好好工作
怎么可以旷工跑那么远去picnic, 于是果断的说不去
今天早上灌水 发现有人说今天似乎有好事
电话数人好象都不确定
于是直接电话师傅 软硬兼施下师傅只好招了 说今天办手续啊
恭喜完了我还是说我去不了啊
因为那时候我以为呢他们是上午去办手续 中午呢就是帮着庆祝
既然以后还要办酒 那又着急什么呢
可是好心的tsn还是给了我地址 说是just in case
11:33am, 我还是决定跑一趟 想来想去这也是个大事 可以当面第一时间庆祝一下也是好
于是出发 12点的时候电话tsn说我15分钟以后到 你们要给我留点吃的 那时候我还就
是关心我们今天吃什么
12:15, gps指示我已经到了 可是哪里有park, picnic的影子呢
着急电话tsn, 师傅 发现都不理我
后来发现tsn就在我后面 说是已经在那里转了20分钟还是找不到啊
于是我们两一起到出找啊找
最后终于终于..
和大部队汇合

发帖数: 9352 | 12 刚到西非不多久，就先一头栽进了切汇的圈套里。
“切汇”这个词儿，我从西非回来问了问我周围的朋友，居然没几个人知道，顿时
感觉时光不饶人啊。这在上个世纪80年代在大城市里可是个使用率很频繁的一个词儿，
倒汇切汇的黄牛们在中国银行的各个营业网点天天晃悠着。二十多年后的中国，这词儿
几乎已经绝迹，就算不能直接到银行买卖外币，私下交易有银行做中介也安全了很多，
所以这根弦早被忘到九霄云外去了。
刚到西非两天，感觉加纳人民都很开朗热情，虽然有时候经常热情过了头。不认识
道儿的出租司机，点头如捣蒜般的对你任何要去的地方都乐呵呵地说NO PROBLEM，然后
带着你满大街的转悠，直到你急了怒了，直接给钱下车了事，还一脸诚恳的拽一句日文
“沙扬娜拉”，弄的你是想发作都没了着力点。可下次打的还是要担心同样的情形再来
一遍。
我和picnic临时决定第二天从加纳的首都阿克拉到邻国多哥一游。事先打听的消息
，两国的陆路边界对中国护照是落地签证，所以既然签证不是问题，那我们自然看多哥
那个西非海岸带最大的集市。

发帖数: 9352 | 13 昨儿Doha说如果一路碰到到都是骗子，估计没人敢去西非了。其实路上还是有不
少让人感动的片段。不少事虽然麻烦，但有一点，那就是俗话说的，能用钱搞定的就
都不是大事儿。自己能认了的，出点血也就过去了的，不管是真的流点血或多使点银
子，还真不算啥大麻烦。有些事情，却不是付银子那么简单。如今脸书、开心大行其
道，这人际关系讲求的就是个NETWORK，放到举目无亲的蛮荒之地也依然有效。
话说上集让加纳的旅行社摆了一道，被痛宰了几百美刀，为了不耽误去马里的行
程，还是咽下这口恶气，我们又在科特迪瓦重新买了张从阿比让到布基纳法索首都瓦
加杜古的全价票。飞机是正点出发，虽然是从没听过名字的“布基纳法索航空”，不
过飞机的机型和里面的设备并不落伍，空姐也丝毫看不出是来自这个世界最贫穷国家
之一的布国。航程并没有多远，乘客也没有很多，坐惯了美国的航空公司里座位间距
狭窄的经济舱，这布航的经济舱还真是种享受。在夜幕下飞行，吃过了机上的晚餐，
就埋头在随身携带的《孤星西非》这本导游书中，虽然西非的行程过半，可对这布国

休斯顿小组负责了2010年度秋季募捐的所有工作。十三位义工（包括一位高中生和一个
孩子）于九月十九日在休斯顿华夏中文学校一起经过热烈欢快的工作，将九百多封募捐
材料装入信封，在邮局寄出。随着这一封封载着OCEF对捐款人的深切感激和热烈期望的
信件离开休士顿飞向世界各地，OCEF的2010年度秋季募捐活动正式启动。这九百多封信
的寄出，凝聚了近五十位OCEF义工在过去三个星期的辛勤努力。他们准备募捐材料，
打电话给捐款人核实寄信地址，将募捐材料复印装入信封寄出，如期的完成了任务。这
是一个团队互相配合，互相帮助的成果。我们从心里为OCEF有这么多无私奉献的义工
感到骄傲。从心里感谢他们。

After discussion in HUSTAA board meeting on last Saturday (Feb. 28th), we
finalized the plan for our Spring Activities, including camping and picnic.
1. We select Lake Somerville State Park as our Camping and Picnic site.
2. The date for Camping is April 18th (Saturday).
3. The date for Picnic will be held between 11:00 am --- 3:00 pm in April
19th (Sunday).

我们这次的住宿是hotel+cabin的组合。
早饭：住hotel的时候基本住宿费都包含了早餐，起床就能吃；住cabin的时候自己做简
易早餐，这一点和住RV没有不同，或者也可去餐馆吃。
晚饭：住hotel的时候去尝试当地美食，住cabin的时候可去尝试当地美食也可在cabin
做饭，大部分cabin阳台上还有BBQ grill可以烤鱼烤其他东西。
午饭：如果当时在参加活动，坐游轮或者hiking或者kayaking, 视活动内容而定。比如
hiking的话只能包里放个三文治了:)
如果午饭时间正在路上开车，可以到风景优美的picnic area停下picnic. 我们会带上
portable gas stove, pots & pans, 一次性餐具等。找个有水有湖泊或溪流的地方（
这样的地方Alaska很多），停车生火野炊。如果水里有鱼顺便钓两条起来现煮了吃^_^
我们在黄石的时候虽然住的RV，不过路上吃饭经常还是停车到picnic area吃，也是找
个有水有河流的地方在外面生火野炊。 |

乘客可分担司机的gas费用 (Gas约为30块: 180 miles, 7 gallon)。
食物饮料：自备，休息时享用 (其实带一两瓶水就好了，怕饿的可以带点零食)。薰衣
草庄园和State Park都有可以野餐的地方

我们是出去看花，不是赶路和赶时间，所以大家可以根据自己的情况在途中有野花
的地方观看
一定要注意安全，尤其是路边停车和路上开车的时候
手机充电，带点现金，防晒霜

如果天气没有问题，这应该是final plan，更新如下：
1. 一定要注意安全，小心安全驾驶和做好在外遇到问题的应急准备 (准备开车的
和有AAA的membership人可以email给我个电话联系方式，方便在外面联系)
2. 路线更新，取消了去薰衣草庄园，改为从6号回Houston。早茶和晚饭地点更新
3. 早上10点钟开始吃早茶，尽量准时到，太晚的可能会没座位
