be a partial eclipse of the Sun this Sunday, May 20.
From the SF area, the Moon will cover about 90% of the Sun at
maximum eclipse, which will happen at about 6:30 pm in the
evening. The Sun will be low in the sky by then, so you'll need
not only a clear sky but also a good view to the west to see it.

入射光的pinhole可以使得入射光成为一个point light source，这样即使penetrate进
入tissue，根据airy disc图，focal plane之外的illumination越远越可以忽略不计。
optical section跟俩个pinhole都有关系，但是我觉得bleaching effect和
detector前的pinhole没有关系。 |

pinhole setting 在 1 airy disk size的话, 95%以上的你所谓"有效光子"都会通过
pinhole( scattered 除外). 不存在"屏蔽很多"的问题 |

A simple and safe way to watch it is to construct a pinhole projector. Take
a cardboard box, cut a hand-sized-or-so hole in one side of it, tape
aluminum foil over the hole, and poke a hole in the foil with a pin. Tape
some white paper to the opposite side. The pinhole will project an image of
the Sun on the white paper, and you will be able to see the silhouette of
the moon as it progresses across the sun.

暂时我还没这技术。。。
除了裁剪和加暴光一档基本上没有PS，第一张扫描前确实有些脏污没擦掉。 |

confocal有俩pinholes。bleach在axis上的厚度应该只与入射光的pinhole有关。而且
一般软件里给的估计值是基于point spread function，入射光波长488nm的时候，axis
上估算值大概是500nm。但是在一个给定的ROI内，scanned的points很多，这样最后在
axis上被漂白的区域远远不止500nm。不知道这样理解对不对？

发帖数: 125 | 16 共聚焦的灵敏度应该不会比WIDEFIELD 差很多, 具体没比较过, 也很难比, 因为光源,
光路,成像系统都不一样.CONFOCAL 对ALIGNMENT的要求很高, ALIGNMENT 包括激光,
PINHOLE,DICRHOIC MIRROR.
如果你的ALIGNMENT没问题的话, 你可以把PINHOLE打大, 可以提高信号强度. 还可以
AVERAGE 多FRAME 可以提高S/N. |

不过千万不要急进，先从初升的看起。如果是其它时段，可以去搞一个那种 pinhole
glasses，逐步开始看，Amazon 上就有。。。或者找张纸板，自己扎个洞也可以。
看太阳没问题的，我自己拿望远镜都可以（不要不知深浅，这瞬间失明是有可能的）。
但一定要循序渐进。。。 |

a thermal camera won't be able to see through the ceiling if your pipes are
not next to it, and having sufficient temperature contrast. Also, thermal
cams are not cheap, I have a FLIR i7 for research, cost about $2k.
the pinhole camera idea brought up by others is the best solution if you
really want try imaging it first. If I were you, I would first look for a
door/opening connecting to the attic. It will be bizarre if you don't have
one. |

premium liners are typically 24 mil or 30 mil. the patches coming with the
adhesive are 18-20 mil. So, strength-wise, original liner materials should
work better. the question left is how to best match the pattern/color. My
big patch was white-on-white. Other pinhole patches are transparent-on-white
or -pattern. |

1. 政府说只是"pinhole"级别的coolant泄露, 而且没有放射性物质扩散到空气中. 但
同时隔壁州监测网络发现高异常, 显然有人在撒谎.
2. 监测网络维护者马上在网站上声明, 是设备故障, 这故障时间怎么能跟核电站泄露
巧合呢. 显然政府有专人负责封口.
所以有事了千万别靠政府, 天下政府都一样, 撒谎封口是主要功能
