发帖数: 7794 | 1 第三天去了Magnolia Plantation & Gardens。 Charleston附近玩的地方挺多的， 但
是两位女士对航空母舰， 打仗的Fort Sumter不感兴趣。 于是决定去周围的garden看
看。 Charlston有个美国唯一的茶园， 但是研究了一下发现除了参观制茶工艺以外，
花钱买茶以外没什么特别有趣的东西。 不过如果对茶特别感兴趣的话应该是个好去处
。 Charlston附近有几个农庄， 虽然都打着historic的旗号， Boone Hall
Plantation的历史其实开始于1930年。 比较起来真正历史比较久， 参观项目比较多的
是Magnolia Plantation。 这里有花园， 迷你动物园， 沼泽，train tour, boat
tour等等。 缺点就是收费贵， 参观 花园15元以外， 参加每个tour每人都要加收8块
。
从高速上下来， 车道转成由两边都是叫不出名的大树形成的林荫路。 树上垂
下灰白的树须， 感觉整条路，整个社区都象生了铜锈的古董一般有了年代。 转入农庄

我们去的不算太早，9:30到了，在大楼外面站着排了2个小时队，然后再楼里面坐着排
了3个小时队，窗口办理就不到半个小时，其中还有20分钟是检验护照。带的材料包括
w7，当年的退税表，护照和签证。办完后，护照都退给你，材料他们也留下，帮你寄出。
经验是要么早点去，要么下午去，排队的人少点。

。两位主人公初识在十二橡树庄园，这个美丽又深邃的橡树庄园到底是个什么样子呢？
前段时间和朋友一起去了位于新奥尔良（NEW ORLEANS）和巴吞鲁日(BATON ROUGU)之间
的橡树庄园（OAK ALLEY PLANTATION）,来之前朋友介绍说这个庄园被评为美国十大必
去景区之一，是路易斯安娜州唯一入选的景区，我真有点不敢相信来的。不过这个庄园
真的很美，美在她的翠绿，美在她的深沉。。。
庄园其实很简单的构造，就是一片广大的种植园，里面有个漂亮的欧式建筑的房子，是
以前庄园主人居住的地方。屋外正门口是一片遮空的老橡树。
我们首先参观了房子，要10$/person，有人觉得不值得，这个仁者见仁了。房子的tour
每一个小时一班，每天都有，所以不用担心赶不上。房子里面的讲解员和屋外的工作人
员都是侍女的打扮，穿着长长大大鲜艳的裙子，这样让人感觉很不错。 |

说完SWAMP TOUR，该是PLANTATION TOUR乐，分布在MISSISSIPPI河下游较大的
PLANTATION大概有五六个吧，都在MISSISSIPPI河的两岸。我们订的TOUR路线包括
三个PLANTATION，但只是停下来走其中最大的一个，OAK ALLEY PLANTATION。其
他两个是BAY TREE PLANTATION和DESTREHAN PLANTATION。其中DESTREHAN是历史
最悠久的一个，而OAK ALLEY是风景最好的，BAY TREE则就在OAK ALLEY的旁边。
OAK ALLEY离NEW ORLEANS大约35MILE，以通向MISSISSIPPI河的28棵OAK TREE闻名，
这些树已有大概三百年的历史，是最早到此的人所种，至今已无法考证。在
INTERVIEW WITH VAMPIRE中BRAD PITT的庄园就是在那拍的。刚到此地，我的感觉
是就象走进了GONE WITH WIND的书里，不知如何形容是好。

羅德島州居民將有機會投票表決是否改州名。
6月25日晚羅州眾議院通過「更改州名」提案。6月26日時，羅州參議院也全體同意，在
2010年11月的選舉中，加列一道選票問題，徵詢州民就是否願意把現有，具爭議性，「
又臭又長」的正式州名「羅德島及普域敦斯殖民地(State of Rhode Island and
Providence Plantations)」，改為簡單的「羅德島(Rhode Island)」。

, Florida. The blast caused extensive damage and multiple injuries have been
reported.
Several fire departments responded to the incident early on Saturday
afternoon, with Plantation Fire Department confirming multiple injuries
shortly afterwards.
Video footage from the scene shows the shopping center’s parking lot strewn
with debris, and windows at the front of the building blown out. |
