有本质上的不同,问题就在于如何认识它们之间的区别(和联系).post-p
首先是承认p的存在,承认用p的方式去提出的"认识",然后对这个"认识"
到的东西产生置疑.换言之,假如没有post之前的认识理论,就不会有post
-p,因为那样post-p产生置疑的基础就不存在了.
问题在于,这个"置疑",听上去可能是比"认识"啊"真理"啊更(在传统
意义上)轻飘飘的词,到如今却有了它自己作为本质而存在的地位.这就
好像世界原本被制造出来,然后被修理,这制造和修理两个过程哪个更重要?
或者说,数学里的conjecture被提出来之后,它既有可能被证明,也有可能
被提出counter example,就看谁下手快,可是证明和counter example之间
哪个更重要?(当然假如你要说counter example的成立跟conjecture的成立
两个是有可能共存的,那是另外一个逻辑体系里的问题了)
说到底了,大家都是在试图认识世界,认识那些真理,不管是客观存在的真理
还是人们臆想出来的真理.但是出发点不同,就有可能达到看 |

一个是全奖biostats MS。由于学校是medical center有不少grant 支持research,我之
前也有美国的Ph.D.,和5篇一作，IF分数都还可以，可能也能办NIW.
另一个是pharmacology 的post Doc (老板是中国人AP, 好像是那种一天12hr+ 一周6.
5天的，他亲口说有一个以前的post Doc 由于中午要休息，晚上回来补足时间，就被他
fire掉；他现任的post doc 以前就是一天12hr+ 一周6.5天的，最近由于有了小孩早9
晚5，周末有时候还加班，老板就不高兴了）最开始老板说只有J-1, 最近可能他看我没
去他们Lab学东西，又变成给办H-1。但感觉他肯定会在申绿卡上卡我。他现任的post
doc 去的时候就是H1, 3年以后才申的NIW.
以后还是希望早点拿了绿卡去工作，或是直接找到工作办绿卡，请教大家哪一个比较合
适？
我个人感觉biostats MS 稍好一点点，但也不是特别肯定。
念书的话，就怕出来找不到工作，耽误不起,不过听说... 阅读全帖 |

doc了，不过我觉得实质是就是post doc了。现在除了和老板做事以外。还在和两个
medical school的professor一起申请funding,希望能够申请到，medical school那边
的job title要多一些，funding 机会也大，所以现在是希望能够尽量朝medical那边靠
，然后有自己的实验室。LP的工作比较好，医学方面的，所以就算哪天我没有工作了，
家里经济上应该有没有问题。
还有就是，去年申请的一个faculty job,没有收到据信，也没有拿到，今天居然在
science上又看到登出来，只是去年是两个系合招，今年变成了其中的一个系单独招。
不知道他们在搞什么名堂。 |

1. 最早什么时候申请pre-completion OPT?
A student may file for OPT up to 90days before he or she completes a full
academic year. If the student has already completed a full academic year, he
or she may apply for OPT up to 90days in advance of the requested
employment start date.
问题：什么是full academic year呢？是指寒假那段时间，还是暑假那段时间？现在申
请的话，算哪种？ 要比offer上的开始日早90天么？也就是说，公司给的job start
time至少要在三个月之后了吧，不然不满足申请条件。

拿到pre EAD卡了再申post，很多人都是这么搞
我感觉pre和post之间的区别一般没人care。我知道n个人没有能按时毕业（一般是老板
那里慢了），比如你6月答辩，8月份出了点意外，搞成12月毕业了，但post申了而且8月
末生效，你就这么用着也没关系... |

网上没有APPROVAL这个选项啊，只有CARD PRODUCTION.
RENEW被据一般什理由啊，难不成是因为我用H1B？
