时的电影，拍得很不错，忠于原著，很多细节都有拍出来，不象前几集删了很多书上的
内容。只是拍得蛮恐怖的，小朋友小的话最好不要去看。我家2个看完后，今天晚上要

行程改掉以后，seward被安排在了最后一天。这一天没有做特别安排，主要就是去看看
exit glacier和参观sealife center。没想到其实要再去坐kenai fjords的cruise时间
应该也够，不过开始有些担心赶不上当晚的红眼飞机，而且海上看动物已经没太大兴趣
了，就没做其他安排，剩下就悠悠闲闲开会anchorage。
话说前一夜从homer赶到seward已经快10点，当时路上担心存放鱼的店关门，打了好几
个电话问他们下班没，结果本来说9-9：30关门的他们等我们到了他们都还忙着。这家
店就在subway的右边，很小一个门，整个店也就只能看到一个门。很便宜，7.5一个箱
子放一天。回头往离小镇3麦的old glacier road开找最后一家旅馆。

我先贡献两个。
Hermione 这个名字来自古希腊神话，是斯巴达的公主，传说她妈海伦跟特洛伊的王子
Paris私奔了，他爹纠集了一帮英雄好汉渡海去围攻特洛伊，双方大战十年死伤无数，
最后放木马焚城……然后hermione她爹妈和好如初……好像跑题了。
Minerva这个名字来自罗马的知识，魔法，医药，商业和防御女神，和希腊的雅典娜是
一个神。如下图为美国国会图书馆的Minerva画像。
Minerva或者athena出现的时候会有一只“猫头鹰”，一根长矛，一个头盔，Aegis（包
括一个用蛇发女妖的头装饰的盾牌和(或)一个用蛇发女妖的头装饰的兽皮甲）和胜利女
神Nike。实际上Minerva这个名字一出现，结局就已经暴漏了。

Harold，是“一军之主”的意思，反正也是“说话算数的人”。
当年维京人拿下了不列颠半壁江山，大致如下图。
除了给不列颠留下大量的维京人名字和地名外，这些维京人还烧毁了大量的古英语的文
字。导致我们现在说的英语用的是经济发达的伦敦地区的发音，写的英文用的是起源于
没被维京人占领的Wessex的拼写……
有个说法说Potter是一个诺曼底名字，当年来自诺曼底的征服者威廉姆征服英格兰的时
候手下有个姓Potter的人因为战功卓著而被封了一块地，从此英国有了Potter这个姓。
所以不出意外的话Harry Potter应该是诺曼底人后裔。
诺曼底人也是来自北欧的维京人。有一年维京海盗围攻巴黎，法国国王为了解围把不列

为什么harry potter能战胜voldermort书里面都有解释。我觉得还是很巧妙的。至于所谓“血统论”，不如说是“命运论”。因为显然书里没强调harry potter的血统。其实Harry potter在魔法界出名开始的时候是大家错误地以为他有什么超常的能力。
前几部里面一只说harry potter是The chosen one，给人感觉好像有安全感，他肯定最后能战胜voltermort。但是后来才明白，当时voltermort杀他反而把自己搞死不过是他母亲的魔法。他本身没有什么特别的。他在voldermort面前根本不堪一击。这个时候就开始有悬念了。特别是最后连老头都死了。
总之我觉得这个书里面harry potter战胜voltermort的一系列机缘巧合还是很巧妙的。 |

关于娃不喜欢 Harry Potter，以及加强 fiction reading 的问题。
我觉得首先的一点是，让娃成为娃自己。每个娃都是不同的，如果娃不喜欢
Harry Potter，要允许娃不喜欢。
第二，父母不一定要把娃的书都看一遍。但可以有重点的选看，或者查评论
“literacy criticism” 也行。。。虽然对 reader 而言，不看书而去看
“literacy criticism” 是一件很脑残的事。。。但父母得记住自己的定位
是 “技战术教练” ，而不是一个 reader。
第三，具体到 Harry Potter，Harry Potter 的确有很多好处，比如
promote literacy reading / wild imagination / poetic but readable
等等。。。但是也有很多 factor 可能让你家娃不喜欢（即使大多数娃喜欢）。。。

中文没出来或者翻得太烂的时候，我就直接看英文，
我也没料到一本英文小说能象金庸武侠一样让我放弃睡眠。
当年第6本混血王子快出来的时候，网上已有不少英文伪作，
等不及读了几页就发现实在差得太多，
就跟全庸和金庸的差别一样。
本来不想太贬指环王，
不过从回复看指环扇子水平实在太低了，
从性别和年龄瞎扯得一塌糊涂，

补充几点，
指环王小说我看过第2部，场面大但是乱，
看完觉得很一般，实在懒的去找别的几部看了，
跟Harry Potter那种废寝忘食，工作靠边的感觉，
根本不是一个档次的。
电影我倒都看了，老实说指环王动作和特效强一些，
但是人物脸谱化太严重，故事没悬念。
对照之下，Harry Potter故事则太强大了：
Snape这样为了爱忍辱负重、曲折动人的故事，指环王有没有？
指环王里大巫师Gandalf正派到乏味，
Harry Potter里Dumbledore则复杂的多，
