1.F1属于non-resident alien
2.F1在美所在天数属于exempt,不计入在美时间的183天内.
3.炒股所得capital gain属于not effectively connected类别.
4.在美待少于183天的non-resident alien不需要为capital gain交税.
结论F1股票期权capital gain不需要交税
这样假如产生的capital gain是不要填入1040nr的表格里面还是填好了哪里有填exempt
的地方?
另外身在中国的人在ib开户是不是肯定不会被收capital gain的税?
假如身在中国的人在ib开户是不是在开户的同时要提交w-8ben?
假如没有提交w-8ben是不是ib会不仅仅withhold divident还会withhold gross
proceeds?

把proceeds列为gain!
这么一来可不就算你赚了好几万吗？靠！我的本儿才多少。
估计前几天那个用Etrade的同学也遭遇的同样问题。
我头晕脑胀地在turbo 的service center读了半天，总算得到一个解决办法，就是你要
自己从scott账户的tax文件中去下载你2010年的.txf文件，然后到turbo里点最左上角
的file-import-from accounting software，browse到你自己下载的.txf文件，然后
import，别去理会它那个帮你寻找broker account的选项，纯属是害人！
我想Etrade里面，其它online trading软件里面，也应该有这个.txf文件，用这个功能
，可以不必自己手动输入——当然如果时间来得及，用手动验算一下总是放心些。 |

So what is the explanation why it will lose so much on the dividend adjusted
basis if one investor buy the "FAS，FAZ" at the same time and hold for 1
year?
As you can see, if an investor bought 1 share FAS and 1 share FAZ on 2010-6-
16 at the same time and held them untill yesterday, he would have lost 22.9%
of his investment ( Costs: 95.28 Proceeds: 73.47 Return: -22.9%) .
This is much higher than the regular interest charge.
