或者说是转方向后的热劲还没过去吧。
现在可以选择的职业计划：
1。最近，部门里的两个头头几次提示让我就留在现在的部门，说是如果我还想做下个
rotation program里的
project management，就把最近能拿到的几个大的项目让我做project manager。他们
都把想法和公司顶层提出
了～～
准备在review时提出要留下就帮提tittle加薪水。
2。几个月后如期到下个事业部（不同产品）做project engineer。
好处，可以继续熟悉公司不同产品线，加薪理所当然，tittle能不能升不好说～
3。有个新上任的x事业部年轻经理n次让我过去，但因为过去是一样的职责，还要从头

先背景介绍一下
对matlab很熟，python正在学习但基本感觉无压力，algorithm之类的也在学习。java
用的还可以，编过两个小的程序。java代码行加起来估计也就万把行吧。代码有一些重
复的地方所以这个数字还有点水分，还加上了comments神马的。想做一个关于数据的
project看对将来找data science的工作有没有帮助，请拍砖和建议。
project基本构想是这样的：
最终目的： 预测商品的价格趋势
方法：从网站截取数据，并对数据进行处理，存数到MySQL数据库，并且作图，然后上
传到网上
软件：用java编一个GUI程序处理上传和下载，还有HTML的自动编译，用Python编数据
处理那一块的东西。

我做过几次，说说我的经历吧。
先说哪个网站好。我的感觉是elance上的人比freelancer要靠谱一些。odesk就别提了
，大多都是做crowdsourcing task的，根本没有technical skills。
然后post job时“一定一定一定一定”要post fix price的，不要pay per hour。然后
，外包的工作要写的非常详细。你只说大概idea是不会有人做的，或者做出来也完全不
是你想要的。我当时是外包我们app的一部分，我事先把每一页的design都画好了，大
到每个按钮要实现什么功能，小到每个部件的尺寸，以及所有后台接口，全写的清清楚
楚。即使这样，还是要反复很多次才拿到我想要的结果。

我现在是学校的博士后。三年前通过系里申请到了NIH的fellowship，然后定了老板，
所以老板不付我钱，就是得到一个白干活的postdoc，我也相对在科研上比较自由。做
了两个项目，都已经发了，现在还在做一些后续的工作。第三个项目做到一半，老板给
了新来的伊朗postdoc，然后让她加了一些临床数据，算是她的一作。我很不爽，和老
板说大部分数据都是我做的，老板说可以并列一作，伊朗postdoc也同意。我看了看
manuscript，觉得写得太差，做这样文章的并列一作太丢人，但自己又不想重写一遍（
太花时间而且还只是并列一作），所以就没有再争，最后是列为第二作者的。该文投了
两次均被拒，现在还在改，估计投了也是个烂杂志，我也无所谓。
从一年多前我去参加了本行业最大的会，然后开始做一个自己感兴趣的项目，因为是生

建议讲正在under review的project。不知道你具体是那个文科，我们专业的job talk
从来不讲已经发表的论文，讲得最多得是还没有在under review的working paper。我
想可能有这么几个原因：
1.已经发表的论文代表过去，而招人的学校更看重你当下的能力和未来的研究潜力。
2.讲论文也是一个交流和听取建议的过程，这对已经发表的论文没有很大的意义了。
3.在做的project通常更新颖更接近前沿，来听你job talk的faculty也会更有兴趣。
给talk的是时候要有信心，有底气，想着你做的工作是多么有趣，你有一个机会把那么
有趣的工作介绍给同行和未来的同事，这本身就是一件很享受的事情。专注于过程本身

自荐一起做。这个穆斯林学生看着也挺聪明好学的样子。上课坐最前面，然后积极回答
问题。
最后大家在组长名字后面签名，其他人都满了，只有这个穆斯林同学空着。结果有两个
晚到的白人男生过来告诉我，他们要自己两个人组队。还有个残疾学生，耳朵不好，眼
睛也不好，估计完全不知道我在讲什么，问他参加哪个队，他就糊里糊涂的加入穆斯林
那组了。目前这个穆斯林学生还不知道。
下节课，我就要跟大家说组队结果，然后让他们开始思考project，现在这个情况我该
