Is Logic an Absolute?

Roger Smalling, D.Min
There exists a small category of realities termed primordial. These require
no proof of existence beyond themselves. Time and space are good examples.
Empty space would exist even if nothing else did. We need not try to prove
or explain them. They just are.
Time is another example of a primordial reality. If we define time as the
relative rate of change between material objects, then it follows that time
could not exist without matter. Or, that the ... 阅读全帖

Q. What if the Supreme Court upholds Proposition 8?
A. This would leave gay Californians without the right to marry in the state
and would tell the roughly 40 states that do not allow same-sex marriages
that there is no constitutional problem in limiting marriage to a man and a
woman.
Such an outcome probably would trigger a political campaign in California to
repeal Proposition 8 through a ballot measure and could give impetus to
similar voter or legislative efforts in other states.

of Appeals subsequently overturned that ruling. Proposition 209 has been
the subject of many lawsuits in state courts since its passage but has
vigorously withstood legal scrutiny over the years, in every instance.
