Chapter IV
The Sovereignty of God
Every thinking person readily sees that some sovereignty rules his life. He
was not asked whether or not he would have existence; nor when, where, or
what he would be born; whether in the twentieth century or before the flood;
whether white or Negro; whether in America or in China. It has been
recognized by Christians in all ages that God is the Creator and Ruler of
the universe, and that as the Creator and ...

Psalm 100 is one of the great songs of thanksgiving in the Bible. It calls

for His goodness, mercy, and truth (v.5).

Genesis 49:10 Isaiah 11:1

Q.1. What is thy only comfort in life and death?
Answ. That I with body and soul, both in life and death (a) am not my own (b

precious blood, has fully satisfied for all my sins (d), and delivered me
from all the power of the devil (e) and so preserves me (f) that without the

“We must not be like the mockers by mocking them in turn, but bless those

Then God may draw them to faith and repentance, and turn our moments of

R*o 发帖数: 3781 | 43 God promised, "thine house … shall be established forever before thee." The
term "house" refers to David's physical seed (posterity or people) who come
from David's physical line (see Psalm 89:3-4, 36; 2 Chron. 21:7). David is
ultimately promised that he would have a family of people (house) which stem

king will rule. But this promise contains more than this.
This promise presupposes (assumes) that God would keep the Jew...

First of all, it needs to be initially recognized that this passage is
Hebrew poetry. And Hebrew poetry abounds with bold and imaginative figures
of speech; it is frequently characterized by a freedom which departs from
customary forms of expression. It is, therefore, a mistake of great
magnitude to extract statements from poetical literature and thus employ
them as a foundation for doctrinal schemes.
This is precisely the error of the materialists (Watchtower Witnesses,

Not A Question Of Obligation
Such rationalization simply won't work. Of course Calvinism's God prevents t

grace without which they can't believe.
Furthermore, He has predestined them to eternal damnation. Could there be an
