User Experience Research很有兴趣，去看大的科技公司相关UX Researcher的职位，
好多要求Human Computer Interaction或者Cognitive Psychology专业背景。正在考虑
是否去申请一个Cognitive Psychology的PHD。考古了精华区的帖子，好像都是2007年
左右的，也不知道现在这个专业的就业情况如何？对于心理咨询师等职位没有太大的兴
趣，不知道如果PHD毕业之后，有什么职业方向可以选择？看了好多学校的PHD毕业之后
都是做POSTDOC，貌似就业不是很好。也许现在找工作还是CS是王道吧。
恳请行业内的前辈谈谈情况。谢谢 |

大科学家，climate change常常挂在嘴上。聚会上他的小孩子忽然问了一个最简单的物
理问题，就是用straw吸管怎么能把饮料吸到嘴里的。俺们的大叫兽立即教导道：嘴吸
的时候会产生一种suction power，就把饮料吸到嘴里了。俺坐在旁边，赶紧补充解释
道，这个所谓suction其实是因为吸去软管中空气，造成管内气压低，外部大气压就把
饮料压了上来了。这位大叫兽居然反驳俺，说suction power和大气压无关，是吮吸自
己造的力！俺差点眼镜没掉下来，这个整天climate change的大叫兽，居然连中学生的
物理常识都没有。其实也不怪，听大叫兽喋喋不休的谈他的所谓research，好像用了不
少统计方法(统计确实常用于心理学），但是明显他不懂基本数学，组合学也好，
linear algebra也好，方方面面其实都是白痴，不懂搞得什么实验设计和统计，居然也
发表数十篇文章，升到正教授。
现在这些文科叫兽，一大半都是靠造数据，骗funding，编造狗屁不通的文章来发表，

书，但所在城市的大学社会学专业都不大好，不得不转专业。偶感觉对counseling
psychology的master program挺有兴趣，这个方向是设在教育心理学下面的，所属的大学
排名好像不算很好。懂行的朋友觉得偶这种情况有多大把握啊？这个专业能申请到奖学金

不是没有想过申请phd，只是因为是转专业申请，不知道自己能不能读得下去（其实读本
专业都不一定能坚持下去，我有两个同学，一个华大一个哈佛都拿了个硕士走人了）。还
有一个原因是，这个学校counsleing psychology 的phd program对国际学生的deadline
狂早，12月1号就截止，我还没考托福，因为没学过，writing sample怎么些一点数都没
有。：－（
我也打算申请social work的，我的一些同学出来也是改读了这个。你指的也是phd
program还是无所谓？

If you are thinking of psychology or social work, you probably could get a
better chance in master's program than Phd. I'm doing counseling master. in
our program, they would admit 15-25 masters and only 6-7 phds.

请帮转，一年前被一个多年的朋友一个很信任的朋友强奸了，痛苦暴力的强奸过程，而
且之后又强奸多次。因为当时跟我求饶，自己也怕，没有报警，我知道一旦报警他的一
生就毁了。但之后的害怕，屈辱，恐惧，愤怒，恨男人恨到了极点，经常半夜想到那些

loving-kindness. This is a misleading concept.
Too much unconditional love-kindness may also ruin a relationship
if the giver doesn't get back the return, or the receiver is smothered

No. To become a school counselor, you need a state licensure for pupil
services, which is going to require another XX credit hours...
And Educational Psychology is more research-oriented, and counseling is more
social work/service oriented.
I am not really sure about the career path of educational psychologist. My
former advisor was a Niu Ren in this field from Harvard, but she told me "
don't get into this field, because you won't make much money." That is
really sad... |
