Injuries that come quickly also tend to go away quickly. After the initial
48 hours, the inflammation settles down the the recovery should be quick.
Last year, I had to quit at the 24 hour around the lake race after 12 hours,
my ankle swollen and I wasn't able to walk. My foot was swollen badly for
three days, and then quickly the swelling went away and I was able to run
again. This time, it may take a couple more days, but so far the recovery
looks good.
