has 10th of percentile. One of his is 1.6 (NCI) and the other is 0.67 (
NINDS). When I was with him, he has 3 R01s, 1 R21, and a DOD. Also, as I
mentioned before, my socre although is even but it give 3.0 not 3!

afraid it will be even harder for me to leave if I get a R01. One of our
former postdoc who had a R01 finally had to leave for the industry. That's
why I applied for a R21. But from the reviewers' comments, the proposal is
good enough for a R01. |

preliminary data，申请的人多。而R01是需要convincing的preliminary data to
support your research objectives.
申请NIH课题是要耐得住寂寞，需要时间和经验的积累。尽快payline在10%上下，有的
人很高，有的人很低。我的感觉是如果你自己都感觉你的proposal is not ready，就
不要递交，因为只有两次机会。并不是说，我们递交的多，拿到的几率就大。对于刚入
职的申请者，最好请你周围的一个大牛作Co-I，或consultant。 |
