我以前没用过RAID，由于处理的数据比较庞大，而且需要维护一个网站用来publish这
些数据，老板给我买了太DELL的服务器，两个750G的硬盘。问我是让系里的人员来管理
这个工作站还是我自己来管理，我想要是系里的人管理的话我就没root权限了，就把这
事给揽下来了。
机器刚收到，自带的redhat enterprise linux 5，好像raid已经预先设置好了。我df
了一下是这些
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/md1 699248504 54522456 608633220 9% /

但这里面md0是 /boo |

no, you are setting up the software raid right?
depends on your harddrive itself, I think only SCSI drives are hot swappable
raid
Don't think software raid can do this, unless your write your own script to
monitor? |

硬盘，最后直接用硬盘拷贝，简单又方便。
关于软驱，我的经验是可以直接读USB 或者2nd hard drive。不过我当年还专门买了个

盘rebuild raid 1
我migrate之前在windows里force安装了ich(n+1)的ata controller的驱动
如果你还有其他支持intel matrix storage的主板, 可以拿一块盘试试 |
