so that they don't have to ask money from society. What US does is to
tell people to squander in all on consumption and then shameless ask

Many ppl claim that the solar will cost at par with traditional fuel
generator. However they never include the installation cost, trasmission
line cost, grid re-balance cost and more importantly, the stand by cost of a
natural gas plant.
Unlike fuel generator, solar is inherently not a reliable source. You can
only get the electricity at daytime. Foggy, rainy and wintery times will

方人。教育孩子也不是像灌装罐头那样，在美国和新加坡灌装出来的罐头里装的可以是
同样的东西。就像你说的，在新加坡长大的话她可能不会对美国“春碗”感兴趣，不会
晓得那些任何美国人都知道的典故和人名。更不会对在18岁能拿到自己的驾照兴奋不已
，或者难以忘记和几个同龄人第一次尝试吸大麻（当然这个不好）的经历。下雪也是，
是会造成不便，但也是生活的一部分，而新加坡长大的孩子未必真的见过雪。仅仅关于
天气，不知道新加坡长大的人除了hot, wet, rainy, sunny之外还有什么感受。如果这
个世界都和新加坡一样，那编写百科全书的人可以省很多事。总之这个岛就是个迪士尼
乐园，不像是一个真正的“国家”，不像是能体验真正“生活”的地方。很明显有不少

不过，以后这种情况也许会改变。本地环保组织呼吁政府对使用塑料袋征税，并且表示
连锁超市和零售商应该带头实行。
难道以后在新加坡用塑料袋要收费了？要知道，在中国，“限塑令”已经实行了多年呢。
新加坡对塑料袋的需求一直很大，据调查每年的用量在2.5亿，每个人每天都要用1.7个
塑料袋！走进超市，人手也要5、6个塑料袋，很少看到拿环保袋装东西的顾客。据报道
称，在垃圾焚烧厂发现许多塑料袋，看起来就用过一次，说明当地人使用非常浪费，这
对环境的危害很大。
虽然在2007年，新加坡就推出鼓励自备购物袋的措施，每个月的第一个星期三去部分超
市购物，使用超市的塑料袋就要收费1毛钱，这些钱会捐给新加坡环境理事会做慈善。
但很多人觉得随身携带环保购物袋不方便，或者有时候可能忘记带，而且多数时候还是
临时起意要购物，所以，区区1毛钱很难成为人们使用环保购物袋的动力。
