1. Park your car such that head is a couple of feet higher than trunk.
2. Turn off the engine
3. open the radiator cap. NOTE: MAKE SURE COOLANT IS COOL ENOUGH. OTHERWISE,
YOU WILL BE HURT.
4. Turn on the engine and run ~10 min until it start to boil
At this point, all the air should be out. You should see air come out during
these 5-10min.

【1】 作业比考试稍微难点，但是是类似的stye。
【2】 少用PPT，多用板书或者document camera，每一个知识点讲完，带着学生做个课
堂小习题，给学生多鼓励。
【3】 上课时候搞点bonus question，比如邀请学生上来板书习题，作对的下次
homework给几个加分。
【4】 office hour 要给足，学生email回要及时。
【5】 上课前花5分钟recap，结束的时候花几分钟，说下节课要讲什么topic。
【6】 考试前的一节课，给review session。 |

我在想这些舍得出一万块升级外置电源的人会不会早晚有一天给自己建个小电站。对一
个好的解码器来说，到底电源方面的处理应该占总成本的多少？这个也许版上的几个技
术大拿可以更好的回答。这是我前面提到的技术问题之一。
上文提到的以色列人宣称Naim在电源方面依赖的是陈旧的技术（变压器＋大容量电容）
和优秀的实现。而他自己依靠的是新的设计和优秀的实现，以致于他的电源更干净但不
需要recap。关键是，网上有一部分久经考验的Naim粉丝用他的电源了都说好。甚至有
些Naim DAC／XPS用户听了他的DAC后就把Naim DAC/XPS卖了。
对本版来说，我想更重要的是看看他所谓的新设计究竟是不是忽悠。对一些自己动手做
器材的人来说，也许会有帮助。说不定大家有一天也能沾光。他在自己的网站提到了一
些技术，不过我在这方面一无所知。如果有人对他的技术感兴趣，发信向我要他的网站
。我不想在没听过他的东西的时候给他做公开宣传。但希望有人能研究一下，评论一下
他的技术含量。这是我的第二个技术问题。

，1个老板的老板的老板，1个hr的generalist， 每人45分钟.
generalist第一个见我，照着本子一个一个念behavioral questions，我回答的时候她
就拿笔在本子上记，全程无eye contact，我回答得很郁闷，感觉自己一个人在唱独角
戏，没有观众所以没有激情。（我是那种人来疯的人，越是有人交流，就越眉飞色舞。
）第一个见完，感觉只给自己勉强70分。
后面来了三个director,一个比一个有知识，聊得也开心，人都很nice,很详细地介绍公
司的business,products, markets, technologies, challenges,etc,感觉没把我当外
人，我做的功课也派上了用场，事先打印了很多我觉得谈话中可能会用到的材料，比如
一些表格，presentation,和小工具等。他们每人都带着我的cover letter 和resume来
，还有一个笔记本，和我谈的时候就在上面画示意图，（临走我都问他们要了那些示意

店加油5%的Citi Dividend卡是我的第一张reward卡，从03年至今已用了7年多了。曾经
多次收到Citi削减reward的信（从5%到3%又到2%）却保持了5%。这次又收到变成季度5%
的信，以为一定难逃恶运了。终于憋不住在6月的最后一天打电话给Citi，被告知我这
卡是菜店药店加油5% for life，现在另外多加了季度5%。原来05年某月是个cutoff，
在那之前的卡都得到了这个5% for life的reward。把我感动得都快热泪盈眶了，一定
要好好珍惜这张卡。
