and 'not recommended', then there may be too many proposals in the 'highly

我经历22个月J waiver.
1.Step1, 休斯敦领事馆负责J waiver的官员回到北京休假55天，其他官员拒绝受理我
的case, 我的case在休斯敦被耽误3个月。
2. 中国大使馆寄NOL后，过100天 DOS收到后，DOS把我的材料转到USCIS
VermontCenter后，DOS负责我的case的Visa Officer又发现我的NOL信件遗失，又向
USCIS Vermont Center撤回favorable recommendation letter，并且通知USCIS
Vermont Center冻结我的case.
3. DOS负责我的case的Visa Officer调离，新的VO Michael负责我的case，Michael无

there are four levels of reviews:
1) reviewer/panelist: E, VG, G, F, P. also in-between ratings are possible,
e.g., E/VG, VG/G, etc.
2) panel rating: HC, C, LC, NC.
3) recommendation: recommended or not recommended.
4) funding: funded or not funded.
most likely HC => recommended => funded, but it is also possible, though
rare, that HC=>declined, or recommended => not funded.
and only HC can be recommended. C stands no chance. |

但是网上没有更新，所以第二天我又打了一个电话，确定了是yesterday
recommendation sent了。而且人家还说：放心，electronicall sent的，不会错。
结果昨天晚上又没有更新。我只和今天又打了一个电话。这次人家说：我们今天刚做了
favorable recommendation，但是letter没有发。我说不可能啊，昨天前天人家都说发
了，14号发的。她过来半天说：是的，给uscis的信是14号发的，给你的信没发。。好
吧。。我等！！~~
今天晚上又check，发现状态是favorable recommendation了，可是没有出现
recommendation sent那一栏，也就是说letter确实没有发。可是我就很奇怪了，那14,
15号两天，人家check到得letter sent是什么letter? 而且在j1visawaiverstatus.

有人说变recommended差不多就成了，但是从来没有被pm联系过，没有收到过任何email
啥的。。。
不是bso，实在是心里没有底，不知道要不要主动联系pm问一下情况。请有经验的人指
点一下吧。如果会awarded ，那差不多要多久呢？会有变数嘛？
这个proposal的情况是，变成recommended之前一周status date and PM同时都变了，
然后过了一周就变recommended了。

cbet做过统计，
15% highly recommend,
40-60% recommend,

comments were also released on FastLane. I read the comments and was more
than surprised.
The PM said that (s)he used NSF approved procedures to overturn some of the
reviewers rating to have my proposal recommended. The ratings of my proposal

congpending变成recommended了？如果是后者，就太奇怪了。如果只是从review
report看到penal recommendation意见是recommend,这个没什么不正常，本来就只有HR

棘手的项目就走人。说是工作，我更愿意看成是intern。我自我感觉作的挺好的，虽然
没能留在那里，但是主管对我也是很满意的。现在在找新的工作，需要3封推荐信，面
试的公司联系了之前consulting公司的主管，她竟然说公司有规定，不能给
recommendation or reference letter。我倒是可以再找professor recommend，这个
没关系。只是想针对这个事情，了解一下是不是公司真的有规定不给recommendation的
，consulting公司都这样吗？还是那个主管心里其实对我不满，不愿意给我

地址,让我发email询问,并且说VSC会在21天内给回复.我问他是否需要做infopass,他说

以及change status的信息，查到以下信息：
网上可见信息说， 可以用favorable recommendation就可以file H1B 了？ 而且如果
PP了H1B，同时也可以加快pending在USCIS的J1 waiver case, 因为H1 will not be
issued until a J1 waiver final apporval has been issued.
果真可以拿着favorable recommendation file H1吗？过来的人说说？
对了，有的律师还强调，上面说的是指在美国境内只是change status的，如果是在本
国申请H1的话，必须拿到I797才可以。
Anyway, 找到这些信息，希望对大家有用，同时，有了结情况的说说是真的可行吗，这

自3月中旬开始，使用了各种办法上访和催促
包括给DOS发传真要求其重发recommendation给USCIS (前后发了5遍传真）
打USCIS电话查询进展（几乎每天打一遍，都说查不到我的receipt information)
去info pass
在USCIS登记service request......
甚至想，也许USCIS拼错了我的名字，于是使用各种可能拼错的名字查询
可至今仍无任何进展。就是没有Receipt number.........于是一切都办不成
我快疯了，欲哭无泪
J-1签证马上就要到期了
版上有人也是1月份收到recommendation但至今没有receipt number的吗？ |

completed，需要至少三个以上的recommendation，心血来潮就给一位前任老板，几位
前任同事发了邀请信，结果一连等了好几天都没有人回复，后来忍不住又resent了一次
，并加上一些言辞恳切的comment，让他们帮忙recommend一下，过了一周多还是没有任
何回音。。。这些人中中国外国的都有，以前的关系都非常不错，其中有一个manager
在我发推荐邀请之前还刚和我搭上线，聊得很火热。
请问大家这种情况正常吗？还是作为一个linkedin新人的我有什么地方做得不妥？
另外，linkedin对找工作的帮助到底大不大，上面的recommendation作用又如何？ |

，只直接给DOS寄NOS，大家都知道 DOS favorable recommendation letter是以NOS为
基础的，那么这种情况file 485可以只交DOS recommendation letter 吗？
