今天从DMV收到一封信，让我付450刀的New York’s Driver Responsibility
Assessment Fee，因为记录显示我的过去18个月内的总共违章点数已经超过6点，包括
上面我提到的超速的6点和以前另外一个罚单的2点。也就是说，在目前DMV的记录中，
我上述的超速仍然被扣了6点，而不是我接受的3点。刚刚去Court，想问问法官哪里弄
错了，结果处理我case的法官这周不上班，就和另外一个谈了。

看来每个系的情况还是很不一样的。想了一圈我们系的男同事们，太太生产的那个学期
，有一个或者半个学期的teaching reduction是很普遍的，同事们完全理解，从来没有
见谁拿这个说事儿的。
看看你们系里的common practice吧。其实每个人都没有teaching reduction是一种均
衡，每个人都有teaching reduction也是一个均衡。
哪个均衡对faculty个人的福利水平更高，对系里的长期研究教学更有效率，似乎也挺
显而易见的。 |

STC: 一般single pane是27, double pane 29, triple pane 30。两层窗户中间隔4"-5
"是48左右。如果用惰性气体+laminated glass或者两个double pane会更高。
给人家提议triple pane，多花很多钱根本起不到任何明显的隔音作用(a STC increase of 1-
3, rated "Almost imperceptible")。不了解还是不要给别人乱提建议。

我干过一样的事，只不过没有他这么多，我只是提前付了半年的车贷。
他这样是可以少付利息，前面有些人说的不对，至少我的情况是这样。
每个月付的钱，会有个明细，其中本金时多少，利息是多少。
如果你每个月只付一次，但是付的时间不同，当然都得在due date之前，本金和利息的
比例也会有细微差别。
他的做法和principal reduction差不多，主要差别是他到2018年前可以不用付钱，如
果是principal reduction，他还得照常付monthly payment。 |

indicators (calling crude bottom): 1) Brent/WTI spread (tracking crack
spread) widening 2). US supply reduction/pace of rig count reduction, 最终由

numbers 来确认supply reduction is enough 3) high-yield market reopen for
junk-grade energy companies, 或是这些公司加速破产。4）USD的走向。5）OPEC 减

研究老半天还是不知道具体怎么计算那些数字，我的收入很简单，就工资，别的什么花
费也不管了。
但是instruction给出的例子看得头大
这个例子里，死活看不出来$20000，$900怎么来的，280000要是用scheduleA里3a算，
应该得20000啊，糊涂死了
