want to take responsibility on it in case. Give them what they want. That's
it. My mentor was nice enough then to send them an email and indicated the
relevance from a broad view of my research work. Or you can write a letter
to help ISO understand the relevance if you are hesitated to ask your boss

公司是亚裔在美国设立的汽车生产厂，效益还算不错，我入职不到一个月时接受了公司
的信息安全培训。让人掉眼镜的是，培训师播放的幻灯片上，五星旗被当作“黑客”（
专门偷取信息财产的那种，比如商业间谍之类）的象征。
因为我这人历来认为五星旗实际上是党旗，其实不认这个国旗。另一方面，又没法改变
别人认为这是国旗的事实。如果我不上告，不是说一定就在公司会受到歧视，但显然这
不能给自己和中国人增加credit。两难啊
其次我入职才几个礼拜，虽然美国法律禁止打击报复，我还是很不安。和身边的中国同

mission。对Pinterest来说，human-curated的信息通过interest graph联系起来，结
合用户在网站上的行为，能够让用户比较容易的接触到自己感兴趣的内容。这个过程和
用户主动去Search不太一样，我们把它叫做Discovery。
比如Pinterest的promoted pins(Ads)，就是通过Discovery engine把和用户兴趣最
relevant的广告显示给用户。因为Pinterest上的内容以图片的形式展现给用户，一图
胜千言，所以在吸引力和有效性方面都比纯文字的方式会好一些。目前Pinterst在运行
了Ads之后revenue的表现还是非常不错的。当然具体的数字是insider data，我不能
share。第二，因为Pinterest一直以来都非常注重用户体验，结合强大的Discovery
