最主要一点就是看他们现在的老人医疗福利在目前的人口素质及增长前提下是否有可持
续性,不然现在
的政策都是镜花水月。普通的中产,中上产老了的话完全靠自己的钱是不可能解决医疗
问题的。说穿了
我们老了就指望下一代来养我们了,只不过不是一个家庭内的养儿防老,而是整个社会
一代代之间的养
儿防老。
气候、医疗条件、社会富裕程度都重要。

不是根据你的图表,我认为澳洲最好,因为是资源国家,能容纳相对于本来人口基数较
大的移民,后来买单有人,没有大规模非法移民的问题,医疗发达,气候好。加拿大其
次。
北欧那些国家也好,就是不容易移民,而且太冷。

SF city vs. Manhattan: 我可能会比较喜欢Manhattan, 因为subway in M​&#
8203;anhattan很方便. SF city的交通比较不便. 是有muni/bus, 可是会有traffic.
比如说从SoMA to Richmand (4.3 miles), 自己开车, 如果不塞, it might take 35
mins because of all the traffic lights. 如果塞, it might take 1+ hrs. 坐公车
is going to be worse.
South/East Bay vs NYC: South/East Bay比较适恰有family的and are nice for
retirees, people here are laid back. 这边相对NYC来说会比较难meet new people,
so the drawback is当朋友一个一个结婚后, 会很少朋友hang out.

刚刚上网查了一下,这里最近刚刚通过也要延迟公务员退休时间和降低福利了。
总之我们这代人到退休什么都晚了,有福利的也变差了。我以前工作过的只有一家公司
有 pension, 不过从我去的那年起,招的新员工就没有了。什么世道啊。(当然我工作了
一阵也换公司了。)然后SSN 也没钱拿了,只能靠自己了。:(

Unless you are retiree and like to stay in mobile home whole year (strickly
it is not a RV) and you have a flat parking area in your property. Besides,
pulling a mobile home over rocky mountain cross is big task for an SUV
unless you have a diesel puller. You auto transmission will over worked and
heated for extended period of time. The auto tranny will need service or

chatting in the hallway. one of 'em was actually USS G.W.Washington(7th
fleet core) retiree. this will be an all-out scale joint exercise and subs
based in Guam will participate, that task force includes USS Houston and

响的范围大了,每个地方能感受的冲击也会小下来。

潮,接下来几年内retiree :worker的ratio会升高得很快,USPS每年亏损巨大,去年亏
损$159亿,。。。很多很多方面都需要政府非常tough非常痛苦的决定。
其实想想未必是坏事,美国是该稍微勒紧腰带节约点过日子,花费了太多的资源,浪费
资源的现象太多了,节约点对地球有好处。
