那天在 NPR 听见一个 26 岁的黑人，对主持人叙述他的一个经历：有一次在做他的捡
垃圾工作的时候，听见附近一位母亲边指着他，边对身边的孩子说：“看吧！不好好念
书，就会象他一样，做个捡垃圾的。”
主持人大笑，我也一样。
这位年轻的黑人其实是自己创业，有大学文凭 ( 好象只是 Bachelors 而已），正是捡
垃圾公司的老板，月新约 7 到 8 万左右吧 （没看错：是月新，不是年新喔！）。虽
然雇有 20 人，但还是照样捡垃圾。
Labor Day:
一样是 NPR 的一个节目，访问的是 Discovery Channel "Dirty Jobs" 的主持人 --
Mike Rowe.
拾 roadkill、养猪、清除动物园里动物的屎尿，无论多脏多臭的工作他都因为节目尝
试过。
每次 "Dirty Jobs" 结束的时候，他都会说：因为有这些男男女女的贡献，其他的我们
才能享受文明的生活。
