years back, Alnylam could get millions from Novartis just for some early
stage staff. Three years back, Merck would offer 1.1 billion for Sirna. Now
it is totally different. Big pharma will not easily open their pocket unless
they see pormising clinical programs.
I think this a NO vote from Roche on RNAi drug discovery in near future. But
when there is promise, they will surely come back.

Western blot很好，可用来做HEK293和neuro2A的immunofluorescence信号和背景都不
好。我的条件是，methanol fix, 一抗是HA (3F10, 1:500) 4 度overnight, 二抗是
Alexor Fluor 594 goat-anti-rat。请问哪里需要改进？有没有更好的HA抗体和染色条
件推荐？ |

从Genia的专利来看，他们的系统Scale-up以后电化学上恐怕会有大问题。如果做小规
模，每个pixel做得很大，对Oxford又没有什么太大的优势，但是时间上和专利上落后
了好多年，恐怕也有很多问题。这样的话只能等着Oxford犯错误。
不过不管怎么样，Genia这帮人是赚到了:) 里面有好几个老中。

现在可能有一个机会申请到这个RPF,但是看时间好像是至少两年，觉得太长（不过不知
道存不存在提前走人的可能...)。
看介绍是一个还留在学术界但是会做一个跟工业界有些connection的项目，然后
industry那边的人会过来指导验收。这种项目对提升industrial experience有多大帮
助呢？ 比起去真正的industry实习几个月，哪个好一些呢？
本人是LC-MS背景的。

employee were relocated from Palo Alto, CA site to Nutley site a few years
ago when Roche closed the site in CA to consolidate the R&D with Genentech.
Only a few people will be kept for a new site to be identified in east coast
for clinical and collaboration research with local research institutes.
Selected projects will be moved to R&D sites in Europa. |
