Go to buy a new rubber sealer from your car's dealer.
Buy a sealant for high temperature from Autozone or
Kmart, only $3-5, like a small toothpaste. Buy or
borrow related tools.
Remove Engine valve cover, remove old rubber sealer
carefully. Replace it with new one. put the sealant
on that, especially on corner. Then re-install the
cover. wait half day until sealant dry. You are done.

个人小车铺,估计200就搞定了.这项是必做的.
2. 更换Rear quick strut assembly. 一边一个,光零件要$350. 修车的指给我看了一下
. 因该是减震用的,一端的rubber plate 老化开裂了,其他的部件好像还行,这个rubber

After you apply the parking brake, is car slipping with wheels turning or
just slipping with wheels locked by the dragging the rubber.
If the wheels are still turning, you may not apply the brake tight enough or
parking brake need to be adjusted.
If the wheel stop turning but car still slipping dragging the the rubber (it
should make a little noise too), your hill is too steep, you need to get
parking blocks.

上周某天晚上，正在加油站拐弯调方向靠近加油枪时，车子左前方向突然陷落，同时铛的一声巨响，旁边老美小混混跑过来告诉我lower ball joint坏掉了。下车一看，果然如此，轮子歪在一边，left lower control arm直接打到地上，打电话叫AAA拖车到楼下driveway上，当晚订了零件、ball joint separator (pickle fork)，周末换上了新的ball joint。
症状：大约一年前车刚买来时，车前面悬挂响过一个多月（吱吱嘎嘎，像开门或者破旧楼梯的声音），那时候自己是车盲，也没太理会。今年又响了几个月，期间用过WD40、 liquid wrench和lithium grease润滑各个部件。最后一次修理是大约一个月前，当时拆下轮胎来，所有的ball joint都没有破损（原厂无法加grease），在coil spring上面塞了些grease，响声没有了，当时以为找对了原因。结果上周ball joint突然脱落。

变速箱这些的）修理的保险。dealer那推销的是$1900多的extend到6年，6万还是7万
mile的maintainance，还有$2100左右的extend到10年120K的机械部分warranty。
dealer说现在不买，三年之后贵好多，他还说mini换油等maintainance这些要有专门的
设备和软件来做，感觉除了dealer就没有别的地方可以做了试的。是真的吗？
另外小问题：dealer送floor mat，有rubber的还有carpet的，rubber的貌似好打理，
但是carpet更好看些，但是我不知道，会不会很难搞卫生，没有经验，大家说我应该要

我猜你应该是不喜欢CVT的rubber band effect，其实我也不喜欢。
这造成CVT没有8AT那种紧凑的感觉。 但是我喜欢顺滑，即使是8AT也不能顺滑。
大部分人可能会顺滑优先于紧凑。
2014Forester XT的上的 S Drive 模式 可以模仿8AT，虽然还是有差距，但是rubber
band effect已经减少了很多。
不过，一旦进到这个模式，车就变的特别激烈，又丢失了顺滑感。
可能这两个感觉就不能兼得。

我就知道很多人可以通过第三方的配件，比如强力的turbo，从引擎中榨取更大的马力
和torque，比如标称250马力的上到300以上毫不费力，而且一样开的好好的。 这就证
明subaru的车其实潜力很大。 你不能只从厂方默认的参数来评价。
