WASHINGTON—Combining aerobic exercise and resistance training lowered blood
-sugar levels in people with Type 2 diabetes, a new study has found.
The same improvement in glycemic levels wasn't seen among patients who
performed aerobic exercise or resistance training alone, according to the
study, which will be published in this week's Journal of the American

important index to reflect a person's health is Maximal Oxygen consumption (

if you are sedentary like myself of couse you'd get fatigued when you start
exercising, but in a long run it definitely is good from cardiovascular
stand point as well as daibetic control,
transient hyperglycemia from stress should not be a contraindication for
exercise,
and yes, it is a chronic disease that will stay with her for the rest of her

应大家的减肥要求,贴一个以前写给友人的读书笔记
我只有一点不同意Anderson,就是晚上吃东西
最近研究表明,至少要给身体10-12小时的fasting时间,否则长肉!
另外,心理上的改变只是减肥的开始,后来的饮食和运动增肌就有各家学派,因人而异了
祝大家减肥愉快,减肥成功!
作者William Anderson是个心理医生,在他二十五岁300磅左右的时候发明了这个
Anderson疗法,减了140磅,然后一直保持了二十多年至今。
有这样几个重点:
1. Mind会直接影响到body.比如抑郁症、疾病不治自愈等。在weight control方面,要
用mind 的conditioning 功能--"We are driven by repulsion, as well as desire
and craving. Conditioning is the primal power source...drives you to repeat
behavior that feels good, even if you wanted to stop".

想减肥,你就得吃不到1200卡一天(不算很aggressive),还得狂运动。

这个有个很大的误区:
在fitness版有人提醒这个是适合本身已经很fit, 有一定肌肉, 寻求新的去脂的人.
对于本身不fit, 肥胖的人, HIIT是不合适的,效果没有lower intensity aerobic
workouts好.
我的trainer也提起这个问题,说对于开始的人来说,最好还是不要HIIT,而且很容易受伤.

补充几个观点:
一、希望不要把“减肥”理解得太狭隘。减肥这件事,不同的年龄、性别、职业、健康
状况,每个人的关注点是不同的。有的人就关心自己的小腿肚子,有的人想isolate某
块肌肉,把自己雕成大卫那样。有的人只想把啤酒肚减小一圈,能穿以前的裤子或者裙
子,至于six pack练不练得出来,无所谓。有的人想把血脂降下来,预防心血管疾病,
没打算塑身。有的人想改变sedentary生活方式,减肥只是一个激励自己的由头,让自
己动起来才是真实目的。多样化的目标,自然导致了多种手段的互补共存。
二、能坚持的减肥方法,才是最有用的。很多理论上强大的减肥手段其实很boring的,
不得已而为之,中途放弃的人也不少。就像那个老笑话说的:“戒烟很容易,我都戒了
十几回了!”
另一个网站上有位四十多岁的大妈,一周两次瑜伽,每次一个小时,几年坚持下来,减
肥塑身效果全都达到了。转一下她的几条体会:
“不要为了健身而健身,也别为了减肥而健身,因为两者都不会长久,很容易看不见效
