I got admission into LSU CS department, with no assistantship. Does anyone
know about the funding situation in the department? Do PHD students usually
get RA/TA at least from the second semester on?
Meanwhile I have admission&No assistantship from U of New Mexico. Both
research areas are ok for me to choose from. Tuitions are about the same,
too. I plan to use savings to support myself in the first semester.
Any information/opinions about CS@LSU will be appreciated!

SCU是quarter制， SJSU是semester制，学分刚好是3：2转换。有些人喜欢quarter制节
奏快，有些喜欢semester觉得quarter还没进状况就mid-term了。看你自己有没有特别

farwest这边几乎每个周末都有十几个中国大男生在oakridge小区打篮球,他们还有个
mailing list的,你可以去utcssa.net这个论坛去问这个.或者你直接星期六6-7点左右
去oakridge看,他们10有89都在那打球呢.oakridge在wood hollow和north hills的丁字
路口处.
另外UT学生会也有打篮球的组织,这个你可以在utcssa.net的体育版看到详细的组织信
息.
不过cssa的篮球组织在学校的recsports building打球,或者也会去gregory (GRE),这
两个building都需要刷学生ID才能进去,如果不是学生,想用building的话需要交$10(妈
呀又涨价了)/一次的day pass或者挺贵的semester membership.关于semester
membership这里有信息http://www.utrecsports.org/memberships/about.php.貌似你还可以找某faculty sponsor你然后把membership弄便宜 |

2011年9月21日，在加州某大学的某同学A通过认识我的某朋友找我。A 同学碰到的情况
是他上学期选的一门Finance课程成绩被教授“暗算”了，只给了他成绩C。如果按他平
时的成绩和期末考（成绩未知）的情况，他应该能够拿A，哪怕是A-。没想到这个教授
整学生这么过分，把他的期末考和平时的participation分数当作fail，给他这门课的
成绩为C。
在他跟教授交涉未果之后，某朋友知道了这事情，跟我提起。我让A同学来直接跟我谈
，我需要了解各种情况，弄清楚各种事情的来龙去脉，才能确定我能否和怎么帮得了他。
在skype上交谈中，我让他把各种证据准备周全，并扫描给我看，包括这门课程该教授
