Biblical Support For Total Depravity?
The words "total" and "depravity," as already noted, are not found in the Bi

teaches that doctrine. The Bible does not, however, teach the inability of T

For example, in Pennsylvania:
47 P.S. § 4-493
It shall be unlawful--

For any licensee or the board, or any employe, servant or agent of such licensee or of the board, or any other person, to sell, furnish or give any liquor or malt or brewed beverages, or to permit any liquor or malt or brewed beverages to be sold, furnished or given, to any person visibly intoxicated, or to any minor: Pr...

I believe Dr. Wu’s review of my book makes significant errors, and each
needs to be highlighted and refuted.
1. Dr. Wu said: “The book deviated itself from the current stratification
literature on China by adopting a different perspective and research
methodology.”
This book follows exactly the mainstream thinking in American sociology’s
theory and methodology , exemplified by the masterpiece on Chinese social
stratification (Watson, 1984) . Current mainstream American social

Senator Daniel Inouye Tribute: Why We Need More Leaders Like Him In Congress
One year ago, the United States lost one of its most beloved and devoted
public servants.
Senator Daniel Inouye (D) was many things: a father, a husband, a decorated
World War II veteran (and Medal of Honor recipient), the U.S. Senate's
second-longest serving member, and the first Japanese-American to serve in
the House of Representatives and the Senate.
His life inspired many -- including President Barack Obama -- and ...

Mukden Arsenal after WWII
April 3, 2017 jwh19752 Comments

(Zhang's Gate, the old entrance to Mukden Arsenal)
For people interested in Japanese firearms of WWII, the name Mukden Arsenal
is familiar. The history of the facility after Japan's defeat is less well
known. Under various names, it did survive for some time, producing an odd
mix of WWII weapons after the war's end.

My soul glorifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
holy is his name.
His mercy extends to those who fear him,
from generation to generation.
He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.

The Gospels offer several stories of women who come to anoint Jesus. Some of
these are clearly parallels, but one seems not to be.
The parallel stories are found in Matt. 26, Mark 14, Luke 7, and John 12. It
is my argument that we have only two incidents reported, but by only two
different women -- Mary the sister of Martha (Matthew, Mark and John), and
an unnamed woman who was a sinner (Luke).
Some preliminary critical questions:
Is it likely that ther...
