While the compromise proposal increases taxes for people making more than $250,000, along with raising the sales tax for everyone, the famously frugal Brown said this week he thinks the name is fair.
"Anybody who makes $250,000 becomes a millionaire very quickly, if you save," he said, adding you could hit the mark within four years.

发帖数: 345 | 29 把楼梯的地毯揭了, 发现原来的是木头,台阶上还有以前安装楼梯的洞呢。
于是在home depot买了木头扶手等等，打算按照图中的样子安装起来：http://homeguides.sfgate.com/install-volutes-stairs-26970.html
结果发现这个Volute（就是那个像蜗牛壳的东东）不够大，要是还打算用最后一级台阶
上原来的那4个孔，那四根围着的栏杆就成斜的了，都得“外八”腿才行：）
我不懂得这个Volute还有尺寸大小吗？貌似我拿的已经是home depot最大的了，大概直
径是10inch。估计我们家的得用直径12inch的才行呢。
我的问题是：
1）有大尺寸的Volute卖吗？好像用直径来衡量是不对的，我都不晓得怎样google大一
点的：）
2）是不是老房子以前用的Volute都不卖了呢？为什么原来的四个洞跟现在的Volute配
不起来了呢？

pillowcase into a dryer set to low heat and tumble them together, checking
after 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the materials once the pillows are as fluffy

发帖数: 865 | 49 有一点同意LZ，就是现在gifted program的预算确实是太少了。在网上看
到这一篇，说的也是加州的情况：

里面说到每$100的教育经费里面只有8分钱用在gifted program上。考虑到
天才学生的比例是6％左右，这个花费是太少了点。我怀疑是教育系统评估的
标准过于单一的缘故，如果以no child left behind为唯一标准，那么老师
必定把精力和资源集中在帮助落后的学生上，忽略对gifted students的
support，反正放着他们不管也没什么差别。如果家里有特别聪明的孩子，
看来还是应该尽量选择好的私校，因材施教，免得耽误了？
不过话说回来，也不能因为这个对确实需要特别教育的孩子开炮啊。:-) 从个
人观点上来说，如果经费不能两边保全，我也会赞成偏重于需要特别教育的
孩子。原因在于我觉得聪明的孩子即使没有外力帮助也有能力自己找到自己
的路；话说象steve jobs那样的牛人也没进过gifted program啊。而需要特
