生(几个senior薄厚)一轮，他自己面了一轮。之间还和他的薄厚有些邮件来回。老板亲
自面我的时候我感觉还不错，感觉他一直饶有兴趣听我讲然后meet时间比他制定的还超
了，超的原因是大家不知不觉聊了很久。结果当天电面1个多小时后他就让手下发邮件
说我是among top candidates,然后安排我不久后on-site，我开始以为是不是就差不多
了，毕竟老板掏钱请我横穿美国去on-site似乎也应该表明对我比较满意，毕竟我听过
有自己掏钱on-site的。
结果on-site schedule要几乎一整天，上午要挨个project去见他的学生们(他学生很多
所以也许因为这个安排了一个上午)。下午给一个talk加讨论大概1个小时，然后他们再
集体商议。感觉并不是走过场可能比之前电面还要正式(两个电面都很简短，加起来可
能就1h左右).然后经过打听这好像是他招学生的一贯流程，不过听说最近2个月并没有

感觉是不是Zuc大姐你又略过了什么其他的问题没提啊...
比如你说到site engineer,那么field engineer也算在内吗,或者再退一步的field
technican如何呢,什么title下满足你说的site engineer+高额living allowance呢.
然后虽然说是site engineer,很多非site的title也有大量的on-site工作,这种情况下
也有livign allowance吗?
然后虽然说living allowance很可观,但是绝对不是随便就每个月都存过来的钱,有各种
限制条件和前提吧?就好像CS天天的会把sign-on bonus算进去,但是本身这都是extra从
来都不是default package之一.
简单在glassdoor上搜下site engineer的review内容,提到living allowance的非常少,
然后到每个公司的网站上去找大概也是那种几十个州的上百个工作里有1-2个site

发帖数: 507 | 17 7月初拿到A公司的offer，OPT 也寄出去申请了， 正在等。 之前和公司说好9月初开始
去上班， 公司说可以， 但他们的意思是能越早去上班越好。我估计我的OPT要是加急
成功的话最快也要8月底才能批下来 （7月20号才寄出去）。
现在另外一个B公司让我去on-site， 因为时间安排原因，他们只能安排到8月30号on-
site， 问我可以不 (我和他们说的8月17号之前忙毕业论文提交的事情没时间， 只能8
月17号以后的时间）。
正纠结该不该答应8月30号去B 公司on-site。。。。因为他们8月份安排不了其他时间
。。。
我考虑去的原因是， 怕万一到时候OPT 出个什么问题， 拖到9月多还下不拉， 而A公
司不能等我那么久， 把我offer给收回去了。 所以有另外on-site，要是能拿到B公司
的offer，能有个退路。。。
不想去的考虑是， 怕败坏人品， 万一到时候8月底OPT 下来了， A公司就要去上班了
（两个对比， 我肯定会去A公司！）， 到时候再告诉B公司说不去ON-SITE了， 可人家
机票什么都订好了。。。

position（其实我也不知道自己到底申的是什么position，反正要去epic都要考那个破
试，所以所有的人貌似无论申请什么position，on-site之前的面试内容都是一样的）
，邀请我下周去on-site面试。现在关键问题是on-site他们会问什么问题。
google了一下，发现他们就喜欢fresh graduate without any experiences，尤其是那
种愿意把自己当催巴让他们使唤，就是听话的那种。而且他们的员工自己在网上说公司
里招来的都是scary-smart的人。感觉Epic确实变态。所以面试的问题也应该挺变态的。
貌似看到过这里有人之前有epic的on-site的面试经历，不妨分享一下，谢谢了。 |

上面经：
工科phd,没有工作经验，面的是个几万员工的公司。这是我唯一的一个on site.
第一次on site，面了八个人，hm，hm的老板，三个其他平行组的manager，
三个engineer，两个同组，一个不同组。每人面谈半小时。基本就围绕两点，
Resume和要做的工作。
说一下我的体会。一，resume几乎每个细节都被问到。建议大家要细心准备，
对自己的论文和所有做过的project，发过的paper都准备至少两个版本，讲给
内行的和讲给外行的。我的phd研究方向太理论化了，工业界工作很难找，
所以这个工作和我phd方向不相关。可是，在面试中，居然有个engineer
有个和我同方向的master，他就要求我详细讲解。另一个组的老印manager，
更是把我的resume问了个底朝天。我phd第一年时，帮别人做了点实验，
测了点数据，然后对方把这些结果拿到一个conference去讲，把我的名字
也放进去，我对那个project知之甚少，而且不是杂志文章，我老板和我都

那家公司的三个组都在招人，所以三个组的人都见过了，最后职位也可能是三个组中的
任一个。今天刚收到邮件，要我和on site见过的B组的supervisor再进行一次follow
up phone interview，请问有人遇见过这种情况吗，一般这种电面是想了解哪方面？
简单介绍一下on site的情况吧，面试是半天的时间，每个人聊了半个小时，包括将要
再次电面的这个人，几乎每个人都问我对这三个组哪个组更感兴趣，我当时没有给出很
明确的答案，所以不知道这次和B组supervisor的电面是不是想确认我是否对B组感兴趣。
另外，on site最后做了一个presentation，由于面试过程中时间有些拖后，最后报告
晚了大概半个小时，本来面过我的人都要来，结果最后只有我申请的A组的supervisor
和管理三个组的director来听了presentation，其他人由于工作繁忙没去成，但我给每

M: 昨天刚面。感觉还可以，但只见到第四个人就结束了。大家帮我分析分析？
前两个人都是熟题，自感不错。第三个Principal，新题，一开始理解有点问题，提示
后也做出来了。三关后安排了管20个dev的经理，C++题顺利答出。一个熟题变种，很快

，说他们公司准备新开一个group，和我的方向很match，而且公司总部在台湾，在大陆

周二（今天）HR会给回复，但我今天有另一个公司的on-site.昨天晚上没有心情准备。
另外由于智齿发炎，肿了好大一个包，吃止疼药可以消下去几个小时，说话蛮费劲，于
是就和HR写信说自己智齿发炎说不了话，要reschedule这个on-site. 其实我这个智齿
发炎多吃几个止疼药勉强还是可以去面试的，消炎药开始吃了，因为肿了个大包，所以
即使不疼还是讲话不利索。鉴于这个客观因素（牙肿疼）+主观因素（焦急等另一个
offer，内心不淡定），我把这个约好的on-site推掉了，reschedule不知道对方会不会
同意，反正我觉得印象分应该已经大打折扣了。但对我个人而言，我还是希望以更好的
状态去参加每一次面试。
大家觉得这样做是对是错呢？

发帖数: 37 | 43 之前读的文科硕士，然后找不到工作只好转读CS，结果这个暑假误打误撞进了EPIC的ON
SITE。。
先是PHONE INTERVIEW，就问了下GPA,GRE然后随便聊了聊
之后是SKILL ASSESSMENT TEST， 我学校很偏僻，很小，他们把卷子邮寄到学校的
TESTIING CENTER。4到编程题然后是现学一个语言再解题。。题貌似不难，不过我只写
了3题出来。。
之后被通知ON-SITE，然后同时做了一个PERSONALITY测试，这个测试很奇怪，里面还有
数学提 和类似GRE的类比题，我都是随便做的，估计错了不少。
最后收到ON-SITE确认信，机票，酒店信息。然后说要我准备一个one to one的
PRESENTATION 展示自己最满意的PROJECT。 我很头疼，我貌似没有一个满意的PROJECT
。。。
请问我这个情况ON-SITE还要再考写CODE，或者数学逻辑题么? 还要复习些什么呢？需
要特别注意什么吗？
PRESENTATION是的PROJECT一定要DEMO么？还是给他讲讲架构什么。。。

什么危害？好像archived superfund site 是已经处理好了环境污染的？我的
理解对马？？问代理没用，他只关心他的生意能不能成，这信息还是我们自己查出来的。
代理对我们感兴趣的房子只有一个问题：就是问我们出不出钱？其他信息基本不提供，
只好再爬到这儿来问一声了。谢谢了。。
这是从epa.gov上来的信息， 1996-1997年remove的.
NPL Status: Not on the NPL
Non-NPL Status: Removal Only Site (No Site Assessment Work Needed)

发帖数: 1875 | 45 在一个房子的disclosure上, seller 写他们 "don't know" 是否房子连接到"on-site
sewage system". 在另外一个问题里 "how many bedrooms was the on-site sewage
system approved?", 他们回答 "4 bedrooms"。（他们房子里有共4个bedrooms）
但是county网站上信息显示该房子的Sewer/Septic 是“PUBLIC ”的。房子的lot size
有“Acres 0.35”， 对方listing agent也说该房子没有septic系统。
不知道这个房子到底有没有"on-site sewage system"，到底"on-site sewage system"
是指的什么？ |

organic, such as content contribution for a content based site, or user
registration for a social networking site. I sincerely hope we can build up
traffic by using this approach.
For your site, a trip with alexa probably is the only contribution we can do
, hehe. |

转让给想去的朋友
Camping site是属于Lassen Volcanic National Park，具体在MANZANITA LAKE。
位置极好，湖边的camping site，这个营地设置很完善，卫生间很干净，有shower。
