stores carry them. Seem to have to order online and they're expensive. ebay
has a brand Arrowy but not sure about its quality.
Any experience that could be shared?

big5的不行，对比过好的就再也不想回去了
轮子越大越好，速度也越快
roller blade是个好牌子，k2也不错
基本上差不多点的都得150刀以上 |

for the recreational skates case.
on a different note, whether or not something is derogatory, lies in the eyes
of the beholder, but I get to decide who the beholder is.

发帖数: 408 | 19 I bought a pair of black diamond knee pads in addition to my wrist guards
for iceskating after falling on my right knee last time. It was a painful
fall, it forced me to cut short my skiing trip, and took more than a month
to heal. It hurt much more than skiing falls, more dangerous than extreme
skiing in a way :)
The pads are quite slim and comfortable and I feel much more at ease skating
, though I have not fallen on my knees yet again. It is a good utilization
of equipments that don't get use |

今天练习新的drill，Zipper Skate和Zipper Switch。此前跟着TI的视频教学（优酷上
有，美国可以看到）中的一段陆上练习（大概在开始后20'48"的时间左右）做过。

这是一个手臂recover的辅助练习。要点是lead with elbow as long as possible，小
臂放松垂直如钟摆，手就像拉拉链一样沿胸骨一线从肚子拉到耳朵位置。头始终看下面。
本来以为很容易。结果到水里一做，完全找不到感觉。按照书上的图形和要求，应该是
手拉动到耳朵附近时。手应该在水里，但胳膊应竖立在水面之上，如鲨鱼鳍。（见图）
而我手臂大部分都沒在水下了。做起来和Under Switch差不多。主要是如果慢慢拉动手
臂，身体平衡会变化，身体下沉。书上提出的解决办法是leading arm往下一些，从三
点钟变到四点钟或者五点钟位置来达到平衡。但对我似乎也没有帮助。到后来才发现... 阅读全帖 |

伸直）和肩部（大臂小臂折叠，力臂变短）的功用？
刚刚又读了一会这个drill的部分。
作者专门提到，为了让小臂充分放松，体会compact and relaxed recovery，在这个练
习中需要让手在水面以下，感受水的阻力，而不能够去对抗水的阻力。
关于上身是个大浮子的说法书中多次重复提起。这个练习的目的也是水中找平衡的进阶
版（比起手在水下recover的under skate)。要体会手臂在空中移动时，身体是怎么把
重量压在这个大浮子上达到平衡的。比起under switch的确难一
关于打水，我要体会一下双膝靠近时发力打法。可有什么视频推荐？我自己感觉打水第
一、的确好像幅度有点大；第二、两次打水的话，在身体转动后到再次打水前因为是拖
着腿游，双脚会自然并拢减小阻力，这样在再次打水之前要把双脚重新错开一下才能打
水。这也是over glide的一弊。 |

因为要求身体侧卧，双肩垂直于水面(shoulder stacked)，后面的胳膊和一部分大腿皮
肤露出水面。就像冰刀一样，所以叫skate drill。

半身，看上去就像是在机械地比划动作，脸上也僵硬--比如那几个日本小孩。中国的也
有这个毛病，特别是后面两队，总觉得动作同背景音乐没什么关系。
得第一的那个Evan,虽然很多人都在说他的难度打折扣不该得高分，但是我觉得他那一
套是整个决赛中我最喜欢的，看别人的时候总是担心什么时候该跳了什么时候会不会摔
跤，看他的时候几乎都忘记了这些，因为他自始至终都十分流畅自然，很有那些上一代
俄罗斯运动员的风范，动作编排和音乐也结合得非常好
