if the skate is not sharpened, it can not hold the ice, so it is very easy
to fall down and hard to carve.
Some new skate do not need sharpen while the others need. Just ask the
professional persons in the skate rink. |

城市很少见到有这么多风景这么好，质量又高的trail.
夏天出来在trail 上跑跑步，biking, roller blading/roller-skating ，还有那
么美丽的风景欣赏， 比宅在家了泡网好多了。
Seattle 市内最有名的trail 应该是Burke Gilman trail, 从Gas work park（据
说要修到Golden garden park), 一直通道东边Redmond Marymoor Park, 单程27个mile
. 很多地段能看到Lake Washington 的view，风景相当不错。 Burke Gilman trail
的质量残次不齐， 有的地方很好， 但有的地方很不平， 滑旱冰，骑车的都要小心，
带好保护。 要想完成trail全程，biking是不错的方式， roller blading/skating 也
可以，跑步对大多数人有难度。

滑鞋无参考意义（inline hockey除外）。
初学者一般都习惯把鞋带绑的很紧，而且从上到下都是一个松紧，但是这样会影响滑冰
的效果。正确的穿鞋系鞋带的方法是，首先脚穿进去后用脚后跟在地面上（最好是软的
地面，不会损坏冰刀）砸一下，这样可以lock heel，使得脚后跟不会在滑冰的过程中在
冰鞋里随意滑动。绑鞋带时脚背面上的鞋带要松紧适度，这里的适度是指不要让脚在鞋
里随意滑动，同时也要保证不要太紧，不要影响血液循环。脚踝前面的那段鞋带要绑紧
，这段应该是最紧的一段，因为这样可以固定住脚踝，提供足够的ankle support。再往
上就是脚腕前面的那段鞋带，这段鞋带要绑的适当，不要太紧。初学者喜欢绑得非常紧
是因为这样可以提供足够的ankle support，不会导致摔跤。但是ankle support和容易
做动作总是一对矛盾，因为如果要绝对的ankle support那么做屈膝的动作就有一定困难
，因为鞋把脚腕裹得太紧，小腿和脚背近乎90度夹角，而屈膝则要求小腿 |

我极力推荐初学者使用hockey skates作为入门，不但是我个人的体会，而且是有理论
依据支持的。
《关于冰刀》中曾经介绍过冰刀的几个要素，两个edge，一个hollow，这里咱们再深入
的探讨其它的几个要素。
几个术语：
ROH: Radius of Hollow从冰刀的截面观察，两个edge和中间的hollow实际上是一段弧
线，这段弧线所在的圆的半径就是这里所说的ROH。对于相同宽度的刀刃如果ROH越大，
那么hollow就越浅。但事实上不同的刀的宽度也是不一样的，同样的ROH越薄的刀磨出
来的hollow越浅。所以这里引出下面一个术语。
bite angle: 还是从冰刀的截面观察，以edge为切点作hollow所在的圆的切线，这条切
线与两个edge所在的直线所够成的角就要bite angle。bite angle越大hollow就越深而
ROH也就越小。
rocker: 从侧面观察冰刀，刀的两端实际上是圆弧，这里冰球刀明显而花样刀不那么明
显。这个圆弧就称为rocker。这个圆弧所在的圆的半径越小 |

不要去一般的体育用品店. 去个专业点的, 专门卖hockey用品的. Perani's 是一个.
一般hockey场外就有一个.
卖skate的人应该给你量脚大小和宽窄. 根据你的要求推荐鞋子. 对beginner可能他们
会推荐$200左右的. (一般再便宜点的他们没多少货). 如果遇到经验丰富的会给你讲各
个鞋子的区别. 穿上鞋子在地上走走, 穿一会看看脚疼不疼.
大人的鞋Senior skates是可以bake的. 店里会给bake. bake后24小时内不能用
对beginner来说, 最重要的是鞋子和不和脚. 牌子没多大意义. 卖鞋子时最好找个划
hockey的店员.

When I was young, I used my dad's white figure stake boots screwed on a pair
of speed skates from 旧货店. It certainly looked very gay, so I had to use
several tubes of black shue shine to darken it. But when they got wet,
they became so messy.
I could only afford new speed skates when I started working, of course still
with my dad's help. 'Cause at that time a pair of Chinese made hokey skates

Thu night is public skating time, that is when I can skate for free - her
group lesson passes have free skating coupons.
She just moved to FS5, and I added another group lesson (power, FS5, and

slightly different version from yoyoma's, it is by bond)
Look at the skater! OMG what a passion! What handsome dance movements! He
totally gets into the music! He totally brings the music out! It must be a
feeling of flying if you skate/dance like that. Moving on ice with the
skating shoes accelarates the speed (compared to just human movement on

滑翔轻舞在晶亮的冰面，穿梭于热闹欢笑的人群之中，伴随着富有节奏韵律的音乐 —
滑冰是一项老少皆宜的体育项目，也是有趣欢快的家庭和亲友娱乐活动，对身心健康都
有益处。
纽约地区冰上运动时间很长，冰场通常从十月份开放，一直到三月底或四月初，甚至个
别的室内冰场常年开放。
纽约市10个比较受欢迎的溜冰场：
1. 四十二街Bryant Park
综合首选，因其中心位置，交通方便，环境上乘，人多热闹。
入场是免费的，所以自己要有冰鞋的话就不花钱。不好的地方是周末或节日时候人太多
，得排队等，人太多时候冰面滑一会就不平滑了。

与当代冰鞋结构类似的冰鞋。滑冰运动又分为三个大类：冰球（hockey）、花样（
figure）、速滑（speed）。
早期的速滑起源于冰上，即所谓速度滑冰（ice speed skating），在北欧诸国比较普
及。至1930年代，北欧仍然是世界上速度滑冰的王牌。但到了二战以后，加拿大和美国
成为后起之秀，在速度滑冰各项赛事上开始逐渐超越北欧诸国，但速滑在当时通常是指
大道速滑（long track speed skating）。至1990年代，短道速滑正式脱离大道速滑而
成为独立的运动项目。当今短道速滑的强国有中韩美加四国，大道速滑有德意荷法美加
等国。
1970年代，美国有兄弟俩是冰球运动员，发明了直排轮（亦即国内常说的轮滑），用以
在无冰期进行陆地交叉训练（off ice cross training），后来他们成立了著名的
RollerBlade公司，是最早的直排轮滑制造商。轮滑在年轻人群受到大力追捧，又演变

正如前帖所述，速度轮滑本身比水冰的clearance要高很多，这样就比水冰更加不容易
掌握，技术要求也就更高。所以在设计速度轮滑时会想尽各种方法降低clearance。以
前的5个轮子的设计，使用165间距，前部螺钉可以正好位于第2、3轮子中间，从而可以
降低整个frame/wheel的高度，frame的前后孔距在5x80mm一般是12.8英寸，在5x84mm时
是13.3英寸。到了4x100mm，孔距12.8英寸，但是165mm的mounting space会使前部螺钉
正好位于第2个轮子正上方，导致要么没法上螺钉，要么必须增加整体高度给螺钉一定
空间；到了4x110mm，这个问题更加突出了。所以现在基本100mm以上的轮子都使用
195mm间距了，这样前部螺钉正好位于第1、2个轮子之间，可以降低整体的离地间隙。
有关Hustler“影响”你技术，我不好说。Hustler是Bont在2000年左右推出的用以替代
更老的Sharkie，主要是增加了踝部的软垫以增加舒适度，还有增加了鞋舌的长度并在
