cod同学说她豁出去了，决定邀请大家5/12日送她上路。地点嘛，就是skirmish，活
动嘛，就是打群架。我本来看这cod同学挺瘦小的，不忍呀，说就算了，但是cod同学今
天专门给我打电话说：“我要站好最后一班岗。就是倒在了岗位上也在所不惜。”当时
大无畏的革命豪情通过电话都直撞我的耳朵。
不知道为什么，cod同学决定委托我数数参加的人数。我先乱写一下，如果你看见你的
名字却不想来，或者想来却没有名字的，举一下爪。

1863年7月1日的清晨五点钟，第三军希思将军师早早地就拔营起寨，沿钱伯斯堡

了。可是，希尔军长和希思师长，都从来没有相信过城里有敌人的正规部队，否
则，他们不会派出全师的队伍来搞这次"侦察"。
走在最前面的是亚拉巴马第十三团。队伍里面有人聊天抽烟，心情轻松。大概
七点钟的时候，团队在马尔什小溪（Marsh Creek）西岸停了下来，因为走在
前面的人隐约看到对岸有人，而且应该不是自己人。天色没有完全明朗，而
且有点蒙蒙小雨，为了防止万一，炮手们把大炮架好准备交战。团长下令展开战
旗，而且向前派出了六个连的散兵线（skirmish line）。对岸的人正是北军骑
兵军第一师中伊利诺伊州第八团的骑兵。一个小时以前，他们就已经发现几英
里外道路上面趟起的尘土，滚滚向他们而来。就在亚拉巴马人派出散兵线的同时
，他们也通知师长布福德，说是发现了敌人。7点半的时候，琼斯（Marcellus

些没打过仗的毛头小伙子不是小菜一碟。结果一个试探性的skirmish居然给西班牙的军
团给痛扁回来，这个时候凯撒的军团意识到对方不是软柿子可以随便捏。
这个时候凯撒选择军营和靠的和对方军营很近，同时警告当地部落和贵族不准给他们提
供补给，凯撒的名声造就闻名天下，西班牙的5个军团虽然没有被攻破营盘，但是后勤
开始有些跟不上。
这个时候，很多西班牙军团的小兵都会乘夜里溜到凯撒军营过来喝水或者蹭饭，凯撒知
道这个，但是凯撒不光没有禁止，而且还鼓励自己的士兵和对方士兵聊天，结果西班牙
军团的小兵一听凯撒军团的普通士兵都在高卢发了一笔横财，但是自己却在这里拿着并
不丰厚的死工资，眼红的要命。而且大家一起痛骂在罗马城里面腐败老朽的元老们，为
了自己的利益，自己要在这里饿肚子打仗，图个啥？况且，任何一个罗马人加入军队的
目的，绝对不是为了和自己的同胞自相残杀。
加上凯撒出了名的对自己的士兵慷慨和照顾基层士兵，西班牙的军团底层士兵开始大量
向凯撒军团这边投诚。
