snowmobiling想疯了。准备这次旅
行的数个月前，大个子就开始给我吹枕边风，把snowmobiling描述的象天下最好玩的运
动一样，不过还是很奏效
的，说的我到也是蠢蠢欲动。在我们订下行程之前，大个子就交代他老爸老妈一定要订
好snowmobiling的short
trip。于是他老妈在Bangor北面的Millinocket订了一个cabin，他们全家加上我准备在
那里玩三天
snowmobiling。
我，大个子，麦克一辆车，大个子他父母开着卡车拖着装有两辆snowmobile的拖车，于
中午十分到达Millinocket
的New England Outdoor Center。我们的cabin正对着冰封的Millinocket Lake，隔着
湖就是缅因的最高峰
Katahdin Mountain。这是我清晨起来拍日出时的自拍照，看我穿的象个球似的，而麦
克在那天早上可是光着膀子
晃悠的，很冷啊～～
下午的时候，我，大个子，思婷去snowshoe，麦克和布鲁司先去试车。等他们回来时，

一直想去的试snowmachine的，但是他们去的地方经常阴天，所以看到有一个周末比较

了地方先套上wintersuite，当时我穿了俩个羊绒毛衣，一个羽绒马甲，一个博外套，
再加上一个winter suite，简直是个熊。脸上套上ski mask,戴上头盔，穿上靴子，套
上手套，准备完毕。
snowmobile很简单，把手上只有一个加速的和刹车，还有个纽是用来倒车的。加速的只
要达到一定速度车就开了。我比较喜欢的是把手是加热的，还有两个不同的加热挡。刚
开的时候不太会控制速度和方向，所以开得歪歪扭扭，后来熟悉了就很简单了，左转弯
把重心放左边，有转放右边，所以屁股扭来扭去的，snowmobile神奇的地方时可以压过
马路，小溪，灌木丛。。。当然还有雪地。 |

BTW, any story of why you moved to Anchorage/AK? Curious,
anything you hate/dislike about it?
I personally love the pristine and grand sceneries of
AK, mostly friendly people (the northier the better),
and wonderful wildlife. Dogs were cherished too.
But attracted as I am, I was there for a short tour,
would love to hear from you locals about the life :)

发帖数: 3032 | 12 我是在JACKSON HOLE 滑雪顺便抽了一天去黄石的，当天去当天回。冬天的黄石私人自
驾车的话只能从北门还是西门进，南门只能开snowmobile 进，而且必须参加有许可证
的当地的snowmobile tour. 每家公司还有限制每天最多大约9-10台snowmobile可以开
进去。
参加的snowmobile tour 公司一早来我们住的地方接我们到办公室交钱，吃早饭，换鞋
，带头盔，怕冷的还可以换他们的厚衣服。然后小巴一路开过GRAND TETON，在快到黄
石南门的地方换snowmobile。然后开着snowmobile到老忠实看喷发，再四处转转看瀑布
，gesyer之类的，下午4点就往回开了。因为我夏天去过黄石了，相比较冬天的景色比
较逊色，可能是三月中了，没有想象中冰天雪地的感觉。
snowmobile tour 公司也有MULTI-DAY的TOUR，好像是住园子里的。

so I dont think you need reservation. However, there is only one company can
do snowmobiling inside the park, if you want to do that, you better reserve
in advance.
The road to Jackson hole is not bad, some icy patches on the road, just
drive carefully. But if you encounter bad weather, the road could be closed. |

目前打算去sierra滑两天，能找到的打折票只有rei的，便宜的也不多，请问还有什么

为对岸没有路，所以先要八个人开着八辆snowmobile，像狗拉雪橇一样把van拖到
Magadan市 。然后就可以像你说的走公路回国。 |

希望对于刚来美国并准备选车的人，能有所启发和期到拓展视野的作用。首先声明，本

初到北美时，除了对国内的夏利，桑塔那VW, Audi, Toyota，Cherokee等有点印象外（

off road 4WD 准备用来拉东西，拖船，拖trailer house，也搞搞off road 想来都是
偶尔用用，不过有个pickup确实方便很多。
6.0 Diesel手动，开了几箱油试了下，Hwy平均速度75，town里面也不少 14.3 MPG 想
必老美坛子里面有人说跟着18轮后面匀速开60能到19MPG是真的 我这边柴油比93#便宜
，所以开起来比我的570还省油。
1. 到tirerack买了俩轮胎，结果发现it给我寄的是AT的不是all season的 现在前后轮
子不一致，不知道有什么影响。
2. 厂家标配245的轮胎，上任车主换成265的了，我想主要是为了省钱，众说纷纭，不
知道要不要换回245。
3. 发现卡车的配件真的多，慢慢加了。
4. 还在了解怎么给内面的2个轮子打气。

value like Wrangler.
Not because I cannot afford a new car, but I do not have an unlimited
checkbook. For the same amount of money, you always get better car if you go
with a used or CPO.
For the saved amount of money, come on, it is in USA, there is lots of fun.
Boats? Planes? Motorcycle? Snowmobile? Jetski? Lake house? Farm and animals?
Car is just a tool, sometimes can be a toy, one of toys.

其实每个地方都有一个特点，一方水土养一方的人。密西根正是这种很有特色的地方，
养一批很有特点的人。我要赞美的，就是咱密西根的特色。
假如你今天还年轻有冲劲，想拼一拼，加州，纽约应该是你的首选。但回首想想，去的人不少，有多少大发了？如果你在密西根象加州一样过：每年租个1200sqft的
apartment，每天没日没夜的打两份工，多出来的钱每年花个5万买Lotto，说不定你也
发了，十年买Lotto下来，感觉中奖发财的概率应该差不多了。加州人光就这不pay
overtime一项，不就5万了吗？有多少密西根的人这么想过？就算你不买Lotto,十年也
有50万多出来了。

发帖数: 3975 | 49 第二天是5位滑黑道的滑雪好手带一位入门级的MM, 滑了三种雪道: SNOWMOBILE GROOM
过的雪道, 林中BREAK的小道, 和林中没有BREAK的小道. 从开始到第二程的一半, 一切
顺利大家很尽兴, 但是第二程的下一半(LOOP),我们共同决定闯入一个没有BREAK比较陡
的TRAIL, 问题出来了, 路愈来愈难走, 离顶还有距离, 离太阳下山就一个两个钟头多,
由于雪太深,野雪是相当地野, 变成像HIKING(但是XC的HIKING能力是不够地), 于是MM
的手和脚趾还冻僵了(鞋全湿了), 一个野雪变成一个BACKCOUNTY的险情, 失温和冻伤字
眼笼罩在我们眼前, 而终点好象遥遥无期或心里没有底.
这时候我们果断后撤, 5位男同学每人尽心尽力帮助MM, 也及时换上干的羊毛袜, GORE-
TEX手套购+WARMER, 阻止了失温的继续, 最后在太阳下山之前撤到山下.
一个野雪的活动变成冬天户外救援的一课是我们意料不到的东西, 最好不发生,但发生
了可以学到很多东西, 这是最后大家同意的结论.
