The new models are clean diesel. my 2010 jetta is white, and it already has
>7,000 miles on it, and the tail pipe is clean. Soot is a history for New
Jettas.
The reason why there are still many diesel vehicle spitting soot was US is
very slow in switching to ultra low sulfur diesel. The extra sulfur poisons
the catalytic converter. With ULSD, US government is cleaning up virtually
all diesel engines, including those super duties & tractors. |

吃得比较像，连吃饭环境都很像，因为是碳烤的，一进去就是烟雾缭绕的，哈哈。而且
她告诉我你不会说韩国话的话基本上没有什么service，前点都不上，但是你若是韩国

1.民众对此的认识程度不一
国内长期居住者尤其是没有出过国，对居住环境习以为常后很多把smog当作正常现
象(很多人甚至连什么是smog都不知道)，这个道理跟自己的小孩长得多快自己有时
注意不到，别人反而看得更清楚无异。海归一般都在空气清新的发达国家居住过，
回去后(有些从飞机下降起)就下意识地发觉空气的变化，不免多几句牢骚。然而这
种抱怨很容易被国内民众嘲笑。讽刺的是最后笑不出的人里大部分还是国内的人，这
点见第二点。
2.民众对空气差带来的危害性普遍认知不足
空气污染成份大致有这几样：氮氧化物(NOx)，一氧化碳(CO)，不完全燃烧形成的碳
氢化合物(UHC or unburnt hydrocarbon)，碳颗粒(soot)，氧化硫(SOx)。至于灰尘
(自然现象哪里都有)，二氧化碳对身体没什么危害。直接致癌的是碳氢化合物的含

先简要介绍一下燃烧知识，碳氢化和物不完全燃烧产物包含千百种不同成分。不论是烧
甲烷为主的天然气，还是以C8H18为主的汽油，还是C12H26为主的柴油，产生的成分都
是一样的，不同的只是各个成分的浓度。如果是富油燃烧，很容易形成碳颗粒（soot)
。碳颗粒刚形成的precursor particle大小只有2-3纳米，分子量大致为2000-5000之间
，然后迅速通过表面反应形成20-40纳米大小的颗粒（期间dehydrogenation过程导致碳
原子和氢原子比例达到9：1左右,基本上成为吸收光线最有效的blackbody黑体)，分子
量达到100万左右。在这个过程中碳颗粒之间通过碰撞agglomeration过程形成类似
fractal的aggregate，这种aggregate大小由具体燃油化学反应时间，包括氧化时间长
短决定，包含从几十个到几万个颗粒，由于是三维结构fractacal dimension 只有1.8
左右, 所以直径（radius of giration)从接近1微米到大于10微米都有。好的柴油机氧

000 miles and I use generic engine oil from reputed mechanic shop (such as
tire-plus). I drove a few hondas (accord and civic) and there is no any
problem.
Some car's engine wear quicker so the oil becomes dirty quicker. In this
case, you need to change within shorter intervals. One time I got oil change
in a small local mechanic shop. The oil became dirty very soon, apparently
their oil was not good quality.

新的家用柴油车，都带一个叫什么plow heater的玩意，就是低温时加热油管的，所以
低温启动困难和家用柴油车从此基本不会有什么联系了。连加拿大一些经常零下摄氏20
度的地区的TDi车主，也说从来没有什么启动问题。
另外是黑烟问题，至少我知道2009之后VW的common rail柴油发动机都带一个叫soot
burner，还是scoot burner的东西。这东西定期收集黑烟的主要成分未燃烧的炭粒，然
后烧掉。相信其他车厂有类似技术。所以像真电哥那种，只要见过新柴油车的人，用电
眼一看排气管，就知道有没有黑烟了，不会说出一些无知的话的。
最大的问题还是高压泵，这使得很多潜在买家都犹豫。如果有好的解决办法并召回的话
，会对潜在买家有很大的推动。至于低温启动，黑烟问题，新车都不会存在。旧车或者
18轮，那可能还是一溜黑烟的。 |
