5. coding interview one，面试官是酷酷的国人小哥和新来的印度小哥。
warm up 如果两个linked list intersect的话如何找到merge point。
这题难点在于链的公共部分可能无限长（有环也是导致无限长的一种情况），俩分叉部
分的长度有限但也可能很长。所以没法保存已经访问过的节点。要想在线性时间和常数
空间内解决，可以先用交替倍增步长互相追赶的方法找到某一个公共点以及求出分叉部
分的长度差，然后从头开始一遍找到第一个公共点也就是merge point。或者是我想复
杂了？楼主有什么简单的方法解决？

5.算法游戏，给一个只有＋－两种字符的array，两个玩家，轮到某个玩家他可以任选
两个连续的－－将他们变成＋＋，如果某个玩家发现自己无法行动则赢得游戏，要求写

巨大差异决定了人眼看到的夜景不可能通过一次快门记录下来，在以前必须依靠相机的
多次曝光功能。如今有了各种图像处理软件，照片合成变得很容易。我个人更喜欢相机
内置的RAW图像叠加功能，比多次曝光方便，效果比图像处理软件更自然。已经很久没
拍过月亮，这次中秋恰好赶上月全食，第二天又要去科罗拉多开会，正打算借机去落基
山国家公园逛逛，拍些照片。一时兴起，故技重施了一把。

不过放心，G家interviewer的水平没有大家想象的那么高，知道sprague-grundy
theory的不多。expectation就是做出普通backtracking的方法。除非是专门做游戏理
论的，普通人谁知道这个定理啊。我做这道题的时候是凭几年前做过nim的回忆，花了1
个小时凭感觉才推出sprague-grundy的解法，然后才去看讨论学习了这个理论。

一项研究专利表明，虾青素（ASTA）能够促进内源性褪黑素的分泌，并获得专利，专利
号为EP1283038，并且阐述因为褪黑素极易被机体的有两种氧氧化而失去作用，而虾青
素（ASTA）这种东西可以保护褪黑素不被氧化，因此用来调节时差。褪黑激素(
Melatonin)主要是由哺乳动物和人类的松果体产生的一种胺类激素。人的松果体是附着
于第三脑室后壁的、豆粒状大小的组织。也有报导哺乳动物的视网膜和副泪腺也能产生
少量的褪黑激素；某些变温动物的眼睛、脑部和皮肤(如青蛙)以及某些藻类也能合成褪

而到了今天，专业分工更为精细，每一个细分领域都有着浩如烟海的文献，专业研究者
尚且会淹没其中，非专业人员即使对一些问题感兴趣，也很难弄清楚研究的前沿在哪里
，更不要说找到一条路径，解决自己感兴趣的问题了。（巨人的肩膀真高啊……）
然而，有这么一位“非职业”数学家，他挑战了一个能让最精密严格的数学家也为之疯
狂的问题。这位“非职业”的数学家，名叫Philip Gibbs。年轻的时候，Gibbs想过要
成为一名科学家，所以就去剑桥大学数学系读了本科，然后又跑到格拉斯哥大学获得了

预先算好长度为len的连续“-”的sg值。
sg[0] = 0, sg[1] = 0, sg[2] = 1, sg[3] = 1，sg[4] = 2，etc。
对sg[x]（x>4）来说，尝试所有可能的move，每个move会把游戏分成两个子游戏（长度
为a和x-2-a），对他们的sg值做异或得到一个值。第一个没有出现的非负整数就是sg[x
]的值。
把游戏通过“+”分成n个子游戏，把所有子游戏的sg值做异或。如果最终结果不为0，
先手获胜。反之后手获胜。

trail ridge road 也还没全开，往年这会已经通了。old fall river rd也不开
各个想去的湖除了Sprague Lake以外全还都冻着，熊湖估计只化了10%，只能去Adam Falls
这种边角料trial打发时间，郁闷啊！
唯一的好处是trail ridge road开到高处雪山上雪很多，还比较壮观
住
第一天住公园西边，人很少

引言
2012年9月19日的Food and Chemical Toxicology（食品与化学毒理学）期刊上，刊登
了一篇名为“农达除草剂与抗农达基因修饰玉米的长期毒性”的论文。这项研究使用
200只大鼠进行了为期两年的研究，得出的结论是：极低浓度的农达除草剂（比现有安
全剂量还低）和NK603抗农达转基因玉米（占被试小鼠食物的11%-33%）都有明显的致癌
效果。
这个结论会引起轩然大波，因为……“农达”作为一种农药都已经使用40余年，连专利
都过期了，美国环保署（EPA）将它的毒性归为3级，在农药中几乎是最低毒的了；而抗

概规律是-
1. lakeside一个主要录取标准就是高分。
2. BELLEVUE学区整体还是强。
3. REDMOND HIGH基本可以匹配BELLEVUE任何一个高中。
4. 然后就是SKYLINE和MERCER。

发帖数: 277 | 45 计划的很仓促，homework不认真，以至于最后计划改的乱七八糟，错过的美景真好是下
次再去的理由。
计划在山里待三天，读了一下national geographic那本national parks，准备两个day
hike，mount ida和longs peak，一些路边的小hike，chasm fall，bear lake，
blabla...慢慢才发现计划完全错误了。
周五晚上到denver，租车一个小时赶到boulder不细表。周六一早准备些吃喝，40分钟
到达estes park，安逸温柔的小镇，公路（36和34）尽头就是雪山，路边都是motel，
饭馆和纪念品小店，还有不少户外用品店。小镇离park hq沿36只有10分钟的路程。公
园门口可以就可以买annual pass，先去sprague lake边上的museum找ranger聊了聊，
盖了passport的cancellation。ranger提示说，34号，也就是横穿RMNP的trail ridge
road只开放了部分，forest canyon overloop以西的部分还没有开放，与之平行的old

Frank J. Scherschel, a staff photographer for Life magazine who covered
World War II in Europe, including the liberation of Paris, and in the
Pacific, died Saturday in St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wis. Mr.
Scherschel, a resident of Baraboo, Wis., was 74 years old.
He was a news photographer for The Milwaukee Journal from 1926 to l942
before joining Life.

。按照网上推荐日出去了Sprague lake。那次ridge road晚上8点就关，所以没怎么照
日落。和几个ranger问照相的地方都不是太helpful，问下大家最喜欢的地方是哪里？ |

作为科技工作者，我们十分关切国内近来多起有关学术研究不端的指控事件。我们愿意
针对科学研究诚信的重要问题表示如下观点：
1. 我们反对任何形式的学术不端行为，并强烈主张一个科技工作者应当保持高标准的
学术道德规范。我们支持揭露任何形式的学术不端。与此同时，要确证学术不端的 案
例，我们必须遵循合法和适当的调查程序。例如，美国公共卫生署关于学术研究不端行
为的处理指南规定，对学术研究不端行为指控的调查，起初应当是非公开 的，其首先
应当由所涉及机构的内部委员会调查并处理。“无罪假定 (Innocent until proven
guilty)”是我们在调查学术不端的指控时必须遵守的一个重要原则。
2. 如果争论或指控不能够在该研究机构内部解决，那么，更高的主管部门和基金支持

黄金时期狭义来说是指 John W. Campbell 入主 Astounding Stories
后，将其改名为 Astounding Science-Fiction 开始起算，到第二次
世界大战终止时为止。这段期间就是现在列为特级大师的一批人
同时并起，真正带动科幻 pulp 风潮的时代。
一直要到四○年代末、五○年代初，大众科幻才开始渐渐发行单行本。
同时掘起的重要作家还有 Clifford D. Simak、Jack Williamson（
他老兄应该是现役最老牌的科幻作家了，九十几岁还能出新书，更夸
张的是还得今天 JWCMA 荣誉奖）、L. Sprague de Camp、C. L. Moore
、L. Ron Hubbard等。
Alfred Bester、James Blish、Ray Bradbury、C. M. Kornbluth、
